Great list and great presentation. I appreciate that you did not discuss heroes in absolute terms. In my opinion, 'good' and 'bad' can be very subjective, but 'favorite' is not, which I like. My favourite heroes by wave are as follows:
    Wave 0 (Core):
Spider-Man. I remember the first time I ever dodged Rhino with a Charge attachment with Backflip, and that is the moment the game clicked for me and I have been hooked since. Certainly borne from fond memory, I still find him to be an effective hero.
    Wave 1:
Dr. Strange. I understand that the popular position seems to be to dismiss this hero on account of his supposed power level, but I really enjoyed that Invocation deck and found it to be very clever. I also enjoy winning, although curiously my win rate with him is nowhere near 100%.
    Wave 2:
Quicksilver. I enjoy building up to a powerful conclusion, and Quicksilver allows for that. Once pieces are assembled, the villain can be dispensed with in a turn. The sense of momentum-building is tangible with him, and I enjoy that.
    Wave 3:
Gamora. Favoring an event-heavy approach with a splash of additional deck-building options, I enjoy her efficiency a great deal. She forced me to depart from my usual board-building approach to one that was more dependent on cards in hand, and that was fun.
    Wave 4:
War Machine. His Leadership cards also introduced a new way to play allies, instead of the typical chump-blocking approach. And again, he could build up to some lethal short-turn finishes.
    Wave 5:
SP//dr. I thought this hero would be terrible, largely because of my experience with Hulk. But goodness was I wrong. I found her to be very powerful and very different, and still will call on her if I'm having difficulty with a given scenario.
    Wave 6:
Storm. I found her to be very powerful, and even more so when teamed up with other heroes. Although her alter-ego leaves much to be desired (I enjoy alter-ego heavy heroes such as Ms Marvel) her weather effects are often match-defining.
    Wave 7:
Cable. Capitalizing on the introduction of a brand new player card, I found him to be tremendously effective and thematic. Further, his efficacy only scales up with players, and he feels like a proper leader. I had fallen off the game for a bit before this expansion, and Cable is largely responsible for bringing back my love for the game. That being said, I have not yet played Angel or Psylocke, and suspect I will be a big Deadpool fan.
    Keep up the good work!

Yeah that was a conscious choice to make it more subjective. I actually recorded myself saying "This was just bad design" about one hero, but then I cut it.
Spider-Man has been my favorite from the core until just VERY recently, and I could have easily made him a second favorite!
      Thanks for watching!

Dude! Ironman protection you have to try. Ever Vigilant and all the tech with repurpose. You can have some massive thwarting and damage turns. Favorite hero of all time!

I'm REALLY looking forward to Iron-Man Protection! There are so many good Tech cards now (plus Repurpose of course) that we just didn't have when the game launched. He will be my first Revisit for sure!!

We only had two favorites in common haha: Wolverine and Domino! Fun list(s)!

LOL everyone likes something different out of this game, and I think that's REALY good for the game!

Nice video. I don’t think I have seen one of your videos before. There are a number of great Marvel Champions content creators out there that I like to watch. I will add you to the list.

Thanks! I only started in March and am still a REALLY small channel, but I have a lot of fun doing it! in 2024 I'm going to mostly limit myself to Thursday and Friday releases (starting tomorrow).

Nice video! I love the muntant waves and Sinister motives also, top 3 heroes: X-23, Ant-man, Spider-man (miles)

Thanks! Had X-23 been out when I made this video she would be on the list (but I love Psylocke too) LOL

This was a really fun way to talk about the heroes! We had quite a bit in common. I don’t really care for Gamora or Wolverine, and I love Nebula, but I think you and I see the game very similarly much of the time
As always I’m absolutely loving your channel and I’m always excited when you post a new video!

Thanks! I was close to making this two separate videos but it was just too easy (maybe lazy LOL) to combine them, but I won't start any of my revisits until I've played all the heroes - I still have a 3 I haven't touched yet. I think it's REALLY good for the game that everyone has their own favorites and favorite ways of playing. My next three videos are all favorites: Rocket v Ultron, Scarlet Witch v Mutagen Formula, and Wolverine v Juggernaut.

@@solomarvelchampion agreed! If we all liked the same heroes it would be a clear indication that some just weren’t designed well. They’re doing an amazing job of serving every type of player
      Looking forward to those matchups!

Fun list. I'm going to roll the box sets after core into the following sets so that there's more than 2 to pick from!
Core CapM it was BP for ages but I find him frustrating now. Revisit She Hulk.
Wave 1 Miss Marvel. No revisits I've played them a lot.
Wave 2 Scarlet Witch revisit Antman & Quicksilver.
Wave 3 Rocket (Venom close behind) revisit Starlord who never clicked but might.
Wave 4 Valkyrie. This is my least favourite set. Revisit Vision except I have never got round to playing him at all.
Wave 5 Probably the best wave as I like them all. Porker is favourite then Ghost Spider. Revisit Nova & Ironheart who have lots more to offer.
Wave 6 I love Colossus & Shadowcat. All the others are a bit underplayed, and underwhelming or not played, but Storm is most interesting.
Wave 7 Domino by a mile. Again I have not tried Cable yet; the others were surprisingly unfun.

Good list! Starlord didn't click for me right away, but I replayed him this year with a rush strategy and had a lot of fun! Which aspect(s) did you try with Psylocke? I played her in Aggression and had a BLAST!
