Myriam Tillson hello
You have 2 raw umbers on the worksheet pdf. Iâm having a hard time telling which one is the wrong one lol
Bree T Raw umber is the darker one on the bottom row of the worksheet. Raw sienna is the lighter one under the titanium white on the worksheet.
@@breet9499 I do? Ah damn, I'm sorry!! The raw umber is the darker one (middle column) and the lighter one in the right column is raw sienna :)
4/7/2021 USA Grandpa Bill: Myriam, at 73 years old I love this video, but where are the downloads, description, and ability to make freshcomments?
You have stunningly beautiful eyes. Thank you for the information! This was very well broken down - very much appreciated! Take care and thanks thanks thanks!

Same đł i feel called out
I've been using Strathmore Mixed Media paper to practice gouache and I was wondering why I was struggling to keep the strokes even. Now I know that a toothier paper is ideal for beginners. Thank you!
I hope that will help! Thank you for watching :)
Would love đ to be as talented as you.
This video was so perfectly explained and it has all the main informations you need to know about gouache and to start working with gouache!! Itâs seriously so well made and put together, thank you so much for sharing Myriam! This is going to be so useful to any gouache beginners! đ⨠canât wait to watch the next videos :)
nice to see u here! i love ur channel as wellâ¤
Please pronounce the word correctly French word Goo ash. Got it used to be designers gouache. Flat colour it will always be streaky if blended. I only ever use for highlights on watercolour
@@fionabromby4546 I was pulled up by an art teacher for pronouncing it goo ache she said its pronounced the same as squash but with a g. It's not pronounced gwash either as in this video
Oh, your advice about brushes makes so much sense! I can't wait to try gouache with non-watercolour brushes, and see what difference it makes. Thank you so much!
This video was really useful to me..I have never used gouache and was never comfortable with watercolors and gouache sounds like a good middle ground..I've mostly used acrylics, but have been wanting to try other mediums..this video helped me understand gouache a little better,I'll watch your other videos on it too đ
Got my Himi gouache from the mail and now I'm so excited to start my painting journey!
This is fantastic! Iâve recently discovered gouache and did a 30-day painting challenge with it. What I learnt from that was that I have a lot a learn đđ. Thank you for sharing your wisdom đ
Hi! Check my art video!â¨â¤ď¸
So excited for this series!! Today was the first time Iâve actually considered trying gouache out and then you post this. Love how the universe works â¤ď¸

This is so wonderfully done! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us. â¤ď¸ I will be using this tutorial to introduce my children to gouache soon!
How informative!!! Loved it. Thank you so much for being so thorough â¤
This video is lovely, and the tip sheet is wonderful-thank you so much!!
I got some for my 18th birthday and brought it in with me in high school during art class because our final was to create a series using any medium we wanted and my teacher asked âWhatâs gouache?â I let her use some of mine on a scrap paper and she fell in love with it instantly. I painted 4 mini landscapes from my mind on mixed media paper and got an A+.
I also brought my Copic markers, gel pens, and watercolor pencils with me because people at my table wanted to use them but my school could only afford crayola brand art supplies. (Actually they gave my teacher a budget of $2 per student for supplies. She had to cut into her own paycheck to provide us with supplies.) Itâs sad but people really loved the new types of supplies.
I have to say I have watched alot of videos on gouache as I wanted to learn how to use them. but no one has broken it down as wonderfully as you have done. thank you!!
This is the Best beginners gouache video Iâve watched. Thank you for all the great tips and inspiration. New subbie đđžââď¸.

Thank you for this! Very excited to learn. Using gouache for the first time and I think your videos will be very helpful for me. Much love from the Philippines! đľđ
Love using my Designers Gouache, and been painting with them for many years.
I paint from vintage 100+ years old Christmas postcards, and 40s /50s Christmas cards.
Usually use 300gsm paper.
They are expensive compared to other mediums but I like them.
Also use them for painting from old American comic book covers from the 40s to the 60s era, and they end up poster size.
Love the videos Myriam. RAY LANG in the UK
I'm trying to start gouache properly and you seem nice, so I decided to watch your tutorial

Thanks for making this! Trying to pick up gouache quickly for a college class rn and these videos have been so helpful. Just wanted to say thanks, and also let you know that the link in the description for video #2 in the series takes you to a sketchbook tour vid instead of the next in this series.
Wonderful content, really inspiring. Thanks a lot for sharing!
I appreciate this series so much. Finally taking the plunge and using Gouache. I am just finding it challenging to get the consistency of the Gouache correct. I suppose it will come with time. Thanks again and I hope you are enjoying your 2021 so far.

Aw, thatâs super lovely, thank you! How many ads were there on this video, out of curiosity? I donât manually put them in, so I wonder how many CZcams puts on a video like this.
Myriam Tillson there were 3 for me.
Myriam Tillson there were 3 groups of 2 ads each (at the very front, middle, and end.)
Hi! Check my art video!â¨â¤ď¸
I also have a very soft spot for Payne's grey. It's my favourite colour to darken with in my watercolour palette. This video came just at the most opportune time. I was hoping to use gouache more in some future pieces and I'm still finding my footing with it! Thank you âĽ
+1 for the Payne's grey fanclub đ I love doing my monochrome stuff with only that colour...

I wanted to say i found this video extremely informative I am excited to watch the others in this series and finally start experimenting with my gouache paints. Also just so you are aware the videos linked in the description go to different videos of yours that are not the continuations for this. I was super confused but I still found the right videos on your page.
Oh gosh you are right! It must've been a side-effect of putting all my videos on Private earlier this year. How weird! I'll fix that right away, thank you for the heads up! I'm glad you are enjoying the series ^^
this video is so helpful thank u so much
Excellent tutorial and great help
Thank you, glad you think so!
This is a very useful video! Iâm grateful for it, but the first thing I thought about was the fact that I had your EXACT haircut in high school. đ The memories came flooding back like watery gouache!
