    Never knew it was possible for a twin that size to do grass field takeoffs. On a serious note I’m interested in eventually purchasing a twin like yours. Would you be at all willing to chat with me sometime on costs?

      Thanks for the note! For costs I highly recommend everyone check out The Twin Cessna Flyer - they have surveys of owners and their true costs, and they run them every 3 years or so. Back issues are available online to members.

      Scotty you bet! Nothing like the sound of one just a little faster than the other!

    Great video and excellent presentation. Yeah drop the music.....you do a great job with calmly talking while staying in the green ‘as we say in the airline world’. You have a professional broadcast voice so no need for anything extra behind it.

    Daniel, I love the content. I think the Cessna 414A is a real gem. Can you tell me if it's big enough for tall people? I'm 6'4" and 240 pounds. Thanks

      Thanks Aaron! I’ve had 6’ 4” actually sit up front - but I’m sure you can guess, it’s not a ton of room…

    Nice plane, can you tell me what Ram engine conversion you have. Mine is a Ram VII. Thanks

      WSB 1 you bet, RAM IV - yours are way better! 😁

      @@DanMalott1 I just started with it and am still learning everything I can. Thanks for letting me ask questions. On my initial training recently, my instructor ask me to demonstrate a short field takeoff and instructed me to add first notch of flaps. What is your thoughts on this practice.

      @@8literbeater manual said no flaps and that's why I was asking. I'm still learning.

      @@wsb1320 your instructor was wrong. Not just because of the manual, but because of logic. The flaps are split flaps. They're essentially a speed brake.

    at what point did you end up at blue line / 105?

    • @DanMalott1
      @DanMalott1  Před 3 lety

      Hi Genda, great question! Very quickly after liftoff! Holding that momentary time in ground effect allows for very quick acceleration at such a low operating weight. Always a bit of a challenge though, even operating off of paved runways. A good example is Destin (KDTS). We depart at max weight, and it’s usually humid with a shorter runway. You just have to make sure you have made all the decisions and scenarios prior to commencing the takeoff roll.

    Hello, I just subbed to your channel. I'd like to get your tutorial on the autopilot, if possible. I always like to see how different units operate. Thanks!
