I saw them live a few years back not knowing much about them... spent the whole night drinking beer, moshing and crowd surfing... left the venue a fan!

Ever since the first Thor movie in 2011, I've been saying they need to tap some Amon Amarth songs for the soundtracks. Or just have Amon Amarth write the whole score for one. The video for it isn't great, but "The Way of Vikings" is probably my favorite AA song after Guardians of Asgard.
If you haven't done it, react to Death In Fire by AA, it's a sick song., along with Under the Northern Star, Twilight of the Thunder Gods, Embrace of the Endless Ocean, Tattered Banners and Bloody Flags.

Interestingly enough - this came out two and a half years before the first MCU Thor movie - they were ahead of their time.

Saw them in San Antonio with Skeleton Witch, Goatwhore, and Lazarus A.D. at the White Rabbit years ago. Behemoth might have been there too but honestly cant remember haha. Amon Amarth was the headliner. Skeletonwitch was sick too, the lead singer said "this song is about Satan" at least twice, haha.
This is the first song I've ever of them about 10 years ago and I've been a big fan since then. I saw them live last month and it was one of the best concerts ever

Gotta listen to Primal Fear. Too few people react to them. Black Sun, The End Is Near, and Sign of Fear are all good ones to start with. The singer Ralf Scheepers was on the short list to potentially replace Rob Halford after he left Judas Priest in the 90’s

The Berserker At Stamford Bridge is a must-listen and it is oriented heavily around the story of the Viking Berserker who defended Stamford Bridge and killed 40 Anglo-Saxons before being stabbed in the nuts by a long spear where he was finally succeeded by his wound.
