- This is the Havoc (of Mobb Deep) remixed version of Common's incredible diss of Ice Cube and Westside Connection. Havoc on the hook as well..
according to Rashid Lynn aka Common on the latest Combat Jack show...

The most underrated diss track of all time
Nah man it's not underrated
Against All Odds?
Infected chicken babies : Against all odds definitely isn’t underrated fam 💯
Change your name fam, you haven't earned it
Twista Suicide diss is the most underrated by a hip hop legend!
Cube is one of the best rappers but Common got his ass on this.
cube picked the wrong man to fuck with as it seems
I second that!!
Oh yeah No Vaseline and King of the hill dude is a beast
King Of the Hill was alright. All he did was call B-Real a "bitch". Cypress Hill killed him. They threw facts at Cube and shut him down. Ice Cube just threw lame insults.
cr8tive24 yeah I love Cube but Cube was only successful in No Vaseline but after that he never killed any rapper on wax. he tried to destroy Common but it didn't work out, he tried to end B Real/Cypress Hill career but got fucked up plus he could have also gotten himself killed if that beef continued.
The most underrated lyricist MC in the hip hop industry, he bodied the guy who created no Vaseline . Just imagine how genius common was
no, common isn't the most underrated, the most underrated mc lyricist is mc ren
I’m a huge cube fan but that’s what makes this so great is that it’s sorta like the student vs the teacher. Common said he grew up on cube and most likely played no Vaseline when it dropped. Common did his homework on Cube and basically dropped a no Vaseline of his OWN 😂😂😂
I love cube but shiiit even in the 90s on them google groups forums goin back to 1995 people realized Cube was changing styles like seasons 😂😂 so yeah in 1991 Cube was on his NOI flow, but by 1995/96 it was the G shit lol I love all cube music tho but Common STUDIED for the test on this and ACED IT 🔥
Broo , he didn't body shit , cube went very soft on him cuz he didn't want to diss him it was a misunderstanding, and cube was gonna reply, he would've killed him but he didn't get the chance because the beef was squashed .
Naw buddy most underrated mc, lyricist and poet is canibus
@@davonbryant4063 no its actually AZ
For those saying this is a whack diss, you may not understand all the references.
Probably they are in the Drake vs Meek era lol. They don't understand

barber shop 3 starring cube and common
havoc + common = dream come true
Too bad it was produced by Pete Rock, which is even better.
And I know Havoc's voice is sampled in this but it sounds like you're referring to him producing the joint.
KnownEpidemic
it's not sampled, he's actually doing back up vocals, adlibs and singing the hook. So either Pete Rock produced an amazingly-havoc-sounding beat and Havoc felt he had to just go in on Cube for the sake of it, or this is a previous H.a.v.o.c. produced version which didn't make the final cut for some reason.
KnownEpidemic Havoc made this remix version, Pete made the actual track.
KnownEpidemic
Pete did the main version. Havoc did this version. You probably knew that
this is straight up proof karma exists, cube bodied a group of rappers, then got together and got bodied in a group
Shamar Dye haha true
Read this and Laughed to myself..smh!.
it's what I was thinking
Ice-Cube Melted, Wack-10 got DISSmantaled, Dub-C didn't do nothin, other then get SMACKED up off the Panel/ Westside Connection, got disconnected, from the neck up, the next Cut, won't get Infected/ Fam, never disrespect my man, common sense, unless u gotta death-wish you planned/so fill out that death- certificate out, you in my slaughter-house now, but ain't no way to get out/
Facts
If anybody knows hip hop, then U gotta admit Common killed the shit outta Cube.
before drake vs meek there was this. in fact better than that beef
drake vs meek was pathetic
+Maurence Gibson mehhh the only reason why id give it to cube is because i feel like commons delivery was kind of wack for a battle track, like dont get me wrong, i think the shit is hard when you read the lyrics on rap genius or something, but listening to it im like meh. but then again commons never been a rah rah kind of guy
+TheShop with Marcus true, he's more like an assassin mixed with a scholar here lol
+Bryce Pendleton-Armour Joeybada$$ vs Troy Ave was on some real personal shit until Troy went to jail
Man Havoc's beats fuckin slap
This was Pete rock
very very underrated diss track
He came at Cube, but he was going bananas on Mack 10😭😭. Called him Wack 10, a .22, and said the only thing he banging on is a table
I Know I'm Weak As Fuck.
Shit was funny af💀💀😂
Banging on a table maad in a circle is hilarious 😅 they all caught it
@@BreakingWreckordsRadioit's actually a reference to Mack 10's label which did the releases for Westside Connection
Common goes so hard with devastating bars, and he raps so smoothly. Dope beat too. He totally killed Ice Cube's diss.
Ironic how both of them ended up in the same film together 20 years after this.
They squashed they beef
+Bailey Sossong Duh. They've been squashed their beef.
muvdafukupouttahere they grew up not irony they’ve matured
Yep Tupac and biggie woulda still been alive today conquering the world together if they came to terms and rose above all the hype
Cube never made a rebuttal, either, because he knew he was got. Farakkhan got them to squash it. They hugged on stage.
Sorry Cube, Common got u on this one
only problem is Common ain't about this life he rappin abt here
it's entertaining though
+jeff ika he was a stone homie
he wasn't a Stone... Shid was a 4CH.... wasn't no Stones on the 7th back then... mostly ViceLords
+jeff ika neither was cube nigga he kicked it with the 111's but he never got put on he was a in the house ass nigga for the most part my uncles are big and baby Lennox from 111 and lil Lennox is my godfather my pops was big lefty (R.I.P) from 111 chbe grew up with them he came from a good home his parents kept him out the streets his mom even sent him to school way up in the valley (Taft high) cube was in no way shape or form bout that life
+BrokenThoughts Yeah They even portrayed Cube going to a good school in the movie Straight Outta Compton
thank you HAVOC
Easily the smoothest diss in hip hop history, smooth bars ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾
Yes
I prefer this Havoc instrumental to Pete Rock's album version.
Common did his thing. This is what happens when you attack a positive dude. The righteous man always wins when he has something to fight FOR.
This shit was the power of justice
Ice Cube took a line in Common's song "I Used to Love H.E.R." personally and came out with a song along with Mack 10 dissing Common. So Common responded with this song and lyrically murdered Ice Cube.
Chi Town rappers know how to call out your character, actions and what you represent as an artist when you take them on . Lupe did the same to Royce da 5'9 - SLR 3.5. Chi Town diss tracks are cold damn .
I think Common wroted the Realist Disstrack ever. A GOAT
Uno2000 yep, Bitch in Yoo and 2Pac’s ”Watch ya Mouth” are the two greatest diss tracks of all time
Ether, Hit Em Up, No Vaseline, The Bitch In You, The Bridge Is Over.
This was a fun diss. I like how Havoc was singing along with Common. 👍👍
Im a Cube fan but I can admit Common pulled his card on this one.
The real Goat of Chicago
Fax
Common is featuring on Barbershop 3 with cube.
When Chicago and New York combined 🔥🔥🔥🔥 legends 💯
I'm a huge Cube fan, but Common owned this, with facts, that's the basis of a diss record, gotta be factual
This is one of the best diss tracks ever. Ice Cube was never the same again.
Cube only went on to do probably one of the best albums if the 90s Bow Down
Who would've thought 20 years later, these two rappers would end up in the same film together?
Which one?

Y'all gonna clown me for this, but EMINEM is a pretty good producer... not the best, but definitely great. Most of his good beats come from diss tracks (9/11, The Sauce, Nail In The Coffin, Go To Sleep) and Superman, When I'm Gone are amazing examples of his great production.
I miss these dark beats from havoc
Havoc did a great job with this version. Just sounds more menacing.
The dark, grimy version 😈 the best version!
Common is a beast!
Always preferred this version.
common worked the whole wsc by himself great beat havoc
Im a HUGE Ice cube fan, and i love Hip Hop but as a fan of music. This song went hard.
Never under estimate your enemy
People sleep on common because of his conscious rap perception, but he’s a cut throat MC no doubt.
Absolutely
Common is underrated
Ice cube destroyed a whole crew with one song (NWA) and common destroyed ice cubes whole crew with one song...it went full circle! Gotta love hip hop
I prefer Cube than Common, I think he's much better than Commom. But I have to say, this diss is dope and Common won this battle.
Common has letters that takes in pure poetry soul, Ice Cube only sings gangsta + anything
Lucas Cristiano you ain't even got through all cube songs? and already judge smh
SouthCentralChannel only my opinion do not like gangsta music, Common and poetry
SouthCentralChannel He has nice rhymes, too bad its a load of crap
Murilo Penna Cube ain't even close to Common man..
Common straight up annihilated Cube on this.
as much as i hate to agree with you youre right
Smooth but deadly 💯
I like this version way better
This beat is knockin'!
I love Cube no doubt. But Common had to set him straight for Cube thinkin he was a push over. Common killed him in this diss
One of the hardest diss tracks ever, Common said facts
"Anytime you come out yo, I'ma talk about you
Til you let that bitch........walk up out you" coldest line
no doubt
Common destroyed Cube with this. The Pete Rock version bangs a lot more than this one. All y'all saying cube won, are bugging.
cube did win stupid
MFW when you are the stupid one.
Jadarius Hughes when what lol FOH
Jadarius Hughes wtf
Where is the pete rock version
Havoc of Mobb Deep produced it, wit ablibs. 🔥
common is a true hip hop G
Common murdered Cube
The only brother that made Cube squash the beef, the only brother that ever killed Cube on wax.
This is the best version. Havic brought that gritty feel to the record.
A positive rapper proves to don't fuck with him
People forget Common used to be a low key savage back in the day
What? Common doesn't really have the face or the look of a criminal
Snarl616 loool they said the same thing about little Jimmy who got locked up for mass murder. Don't judge a book by it's cover buddy.
H.T JR I'm not saying that I don't trust you, but are there evidences of what you say in the web?
Snarl616 with all due respect the web will only tell you so much. it might have been a Sway interview but he talked about growing up in the Chi and his early days. Check some of them out.
This song is a dilemma for me... one of the best disses ever, but how good is a diss if no one hears it? In the internet era we have access to pretty much everything but back in the day if you wasn't a Common fan you really never heard this... what a shame
It was heard alright...my gangsta ass underground listening to brother...put me up on it...I was losing interest in hip hop at that time
@@bornmrbrownpearson452 lol, well it's not like NO ONE heard it, I mean I knew the song back in the day, but Common didn't have the audience Cube had so a lot of people only heard Cube's side of the beef, and they missed out
Common is lyrically hands done the best !!
This track is proof of karma. Ice Cube got N.W.A with "No Vaseline" and karma came bacc down the line and gave him this.
Love for cube and his songs, but *fire melts ice*.
Common won this hands down
Hell yeah common was a beast on this one he destroyed cube rap and Mack 10 on this one
Career
Cube got ripped, probs best diss I've heard behind against all odds
Common one of thee nicest to ever do it. Some of the slickest flows of all time are in this.

i still to this day don't understand how in the world Cube took his I Used To Love H.E.R. line as a slight towards the west. Com put him in his place REAL QUICK.
chelsea6671 right!
It was the last verse. Telling me sad stories now she only fuck with the funk. Ice Cube was remixing those old funk records with George Clinton. And it was a clear diss to west coast g-funk
You can’t even respond to such a devastatingly direct hit. I’ve only seen Ice Cube in movies, tv and commercials since. Never hip hop, or at least real hip hop. That Ice Cube was rested in peace when this was released.
Never heard this... till now!...... Straight up fire!. 😈🔥🔥🔥🔥
He went hard on this one 🔥
Common got Cube HEAVY with this and that Havoc beat
Looks like Common knew something all along judging by Cube's recent actions
Shit was straight wicked......"you ain't banging shit but the table............in a circle " lol!
He called Mack 10 a .22
😂😂 damn
My most favorite common joint of all time!!!!
How do you murder someone who made one of greatest diss tracks ever with No Vaseline? Common wasn't playing around. He destroyed Cube. I am glad they squashed their beef. This is easily a Top 10 diss.
The metro newspaper brought me here. This sounds so 90s East coast n I love 90s East coast. I could easyly hear prodigy and havoc on this airing someone out. The ad libs even sound like havoc on drop a gem on em.
A classic east coast beat.
After hearing this diss, i really felt sympathy ice cube because common is just spitting straight facts
