Sergei Kharitonov, aka ‘The Russian Paratrooper’, made his MMA debut back in 2000, has over 30 professional victories, including wins over Alistair Overeem, Fabricio Werdum, and Andrei Arlovski.
Tyrone Spong is a professional kickboxer, boxer, and MMA fighter. The Surinamese multi-combat sport athlete has over 100 wins and multiple championships in kickboxing, a perfect 14-0 record in boxing, and made his return to professional MMA at Eagle FC 44.

Former paratrooper Sergei Kharitonov has been one of my favorite fighters for a long time. He's one of the toughest fighters ever in MMA.

If Eagle FC wants a bigger slice of the market it should consider what ONE FC do and have kickboxing/ muay thai or even grappling events. Make it an all round martial arts/ combat sport promotion.

Eagle fc has proven they can definitely produce good looking events. But spong was not ready for a return to MMA and it showed in this fight. It was a very one sided contest. If you can add really good heavyweights to your roster you'd be even more exciting. Best of luck eagle fc.

He finished Semmy Schilt with the same position and hammerfists. Ol yuji shimada let that one go a little too long, btw!! Been a huge fan of Kharitonov since his 2nd fight in Pride. He came on the scene with some amazing hands(had some epic KOs: Rizzo, Ninja, Overeem, and many others.) Would've fought Fedor if not for a narrow decision loss to Minotauro. That would have been epic.

I do not believe he fought MMA again *correction he did have a couple fights* after this fight with Kharitonov, it was very brutal, as he was defenseless on the ground. It was the 2004 HW GP. Golden Era of MMA!

Pretty large weight /size difference. It seemed to have an impact too. Still, it was booked and agreed upon. The larger guy also demonstrated working fight IQ as well.

на 5?) в этом бою разница в весе была 16кг, там в начале вес объявляли в фунтах - 229 против 264, в переводе на кг это примерно 104 против 120. Это объективно не весовая Тайрона, ему как минимум в полутяжи надо.
