How do you know a person died?
To lay devils advocate, I don't think they mean that the other person who was hit was fake. I think before we knew who it was they believed it was possible that the shooter was hired under false pretenses and to make it look good, innocent person be damned.
I don't think they are right because I don't understand why they would go through the trouble, he was already leading and it would just get worse for Biden as time passes. Even if people didn't vote for Trump before today was going to get 72 million votes no matter what. Biden probably lost 5 million votes just from the debate alone and I am being generous with the 5 million loss.
So Trump could have won the election even if he got fewer votes than he did last time. After today he likely gained 4 million more. This kid has by himself made a sure bet into a guarantee.

This was not staged to help Trump. That’s the most ridiculous thing I’m hearing. A man was shot dead in the head and two people are critically injured. The shooter intended to kill trump, and because of the distance and the fact that trump was moving, the shooter missed. One thing we don’t know is whether there was another shooter because an interview with a congressman or a senate candidate that was there, I can’t remember, said bullets were coming from different directions.

Yeah, I am honestly and pleasantly surprised. I've seen how furious Cenk gets at Trump over the past few years, which makes his composure and fairness here all the more impressive. Not a lot of that in political commentary these days, sadly.
