Btw this already existed in vanilla, its the Passengers NBT. The passenger actually controls the AI of the entity its riding, sometimes even attributes.
Im also pretty sure theres a command in the newer versions too, was /ride or something
I just love how he explored all parts of Minecraft with just one command…

FYI, Vanilla Minecraft also has a very similar command called /ride since 1.19.4. Not sure what the difference is with this command.

@@_Solaal_the contraption is part of the minecart and the /ride commands interact with the minecart.
Crazy how much the create mod has evolved over the years.
I’m pretty sure he said in the video that this was added during 1.18’s lifetime, so about 2 years, or half of Create’s lifetime ago
I'm pretty sure the command was added when we made the "this is Create 2022" trailer. You can see it at 1:20 automatically seating the player. We had to include some way of doing it automatically so it would work with how we recorded the footage.

As a period-Minecraft-player, I can say this motivates me to play it again!
I think Shalz should try steampunk create though. Would be fun to watch him have a play through series and experience this newish modpack.
he already has a survival world, making a new series would probably result in the death of the current survival world
The mod "Little contraptions" already supports create compatibility to allow for contraption on boats
I could see the boat Thing being useful for building big cargo vessels. Imagine a server, you have some farm, and your friend on the other side of the ocean needs a ton of stuff, so you load up your cargo ship and go across the ocean
The first thing that came to my mind is making a custom ship structure and just have the boat as the seat/driving element. Budget Aeronautics addon :D

You should've taken an entire woodland mansion, glue it all, and then put it onto a boat.

The passenger thingy has been in vanilla for a long time, Create just made an easier command. I'm not sure if you could've used the vanilla thing along with the Create mod to do this, or if there'd be a compatibility issue.
This opens so many different possibilities. Cars might actually be possible now if you put a contraption on a horse or something like that.
...so you can make a cargo horse, which could also ride along with you on a boat on your journey 🤔

You should be able to target contraptions that aren't on a minecart too, and also, hear me out, contraptions on mobs

The house boat reminded me of this video I saw of someone who made a working ship (as in water ship) in Valkyrien Skies: Clockwork. I was very surprised to find out that Valkyrien Skies ships don't have to just be air ships, although in hindsight it makes sense that they should float when interacting with water. Either way, it seems to me like a good content idea.

You can stack mobs on top of each other without complicated commands in vanilla with /ride. They added it a few updates ago (I think it was a minor version of 1.19)

We are slowly approaching the moment where Shalz makes quick response nuclear submarines and ac-130 out of thin air
stacking animals on top of each other is also a vanilla feature btw. /ride, originally an april fools addition, now in the main game
3:55 you can use saws intead of harversters to gather the entire kelp plant and put all the drops in the contraption's inventory

I don't know if this works, but what if you put a furnace minecart running along a track on a platform, atop a minecart contraption. Then use create passenger to put this on a boat. To sum it up, you have a furnace minecart on a minecart track on a minecart on a boat.
Maybe have harvestors instead of the chain or maybe something scimming the water behind to pick stuff up

How about you install the create cannons, put it onto a train and then place that train contraption onto a camel as a passenger since camels have 2 seats?
You'd have a motorized artillery unit in minecraft. You could basically even make a tank with it, or any other vehicle
Because create contraptions don't work on create contraptions. So you can't have a cannon on a train

Shalz for the minecart contraption you can use the thing that takes the items on the ground just place them on the water surface level on the contraption and do the thingy... with the command or something and just navigate on the water surface and that should be good?

I'm sorry to tell you that Minecraft vainilla has a command called ride that does the same, but I also want to tell you that a minecart can pick up a boat so maybe that way you can move the boat into rails and out. Also the ride command works with yourself so you can ride anything

btw, minecarts and rails can both go under water nowadays. I dont really see a valid reason for the command to exist in the create mod in the first place, and there is a vanilla /ride command nowadays anyways

6:32 btw. the "Carry On" mod can also easily stack animals (and players, and villagers) on top of each other without use of commands 🙂
