‘Some of the best strategies you are going to see for control and submission’ - London, UK
‘The detailed way Prof Tom breaks down his moves into the absolute essentials is just next level for me. This is absolute gold‘ - Sydney, Australia
‘Most of the guys at my Academy, have about 60lbs on me, but since purchasing your ‘Kimura Attack system’ and ’14 days’ everything has changed. I feel much more confident, roll better and the guys on the mat have commented on the same. Thanks, Coach Tom’ - Dallas, TX
‘I know you have your names for your courses, but I’ve renamed them the ‘Zero to hero’ courses, I went from getting constantly owned, to now being completely dominant on the mat in no time at all’ - San Diego, California
‘I use the course material heaps, and just recently put it into action at a local comp, walked away with double gold. No one was more surprised than me! - Miami, Florida
‘As a new white belt, these classes have helped me so much, Prof Tom’s technique, the details, and his attitude. I love how Prof. Tom shows the ‘mistakes people make’ and then shows the correct way of doing things. The only one I have ever seen do this’ - New York, New York
Great videos, great instruction. I just watch them for hours…Melbourne, Australia
‘The instructional saved me big time at a recent comp, my opponent was def more experienced, but that was ok, coz I had Prof Tom’s video in my brain. Nailed it and scored gold’ - Colorado, Denver

Best jiu jitsu channel on youtube, hands down. I always check out Professor Tom's videos first.
Yup, as do I🤙🏼🔺
🙏🥋thank you kindly!
I am glad i found prof Tom. Helps me out a lot. As a very new white belt and learning like two moves a day then start rolling i tap out alot but i think its awesome when i get thrown around and i got great gym mates to help me understand why they were able to do that to me.
best bjj videos, without too much talking straight to the point and explained in a digestible way. helped me so much with my progress to blue belt! Kesa Gatame is one of my fav! thank you :-)
Thank you! 🙏🤙🏼🥋Tom Davey
Kesa getame being the same grip but with pass on the other side is very interesting
Yeah it completely gets rid of the need to pull the elbow up, which is the hardest part of getting into kesa
This is so cool…either kesa immediately or kesa shortly after a little baiting in side control.
As always, perfection. 🙏🙏
🙏
Love this setup for kesa. Also I never thought about attaching before untangle. I like that it opens up Kesa. When everyone’s gonna be expecting a standard side control
Aaayyyyy. I really like these concepts style videos. They seem to help a lot more than the specific techniques stuff out there.
Glad you like them!
@@TheGrapplingAcademy fr ur kesakatami kill system video helped me so much when I first started out in BJJ. I wrestled bf so I can toss white belts and land right in scarf. Just really want to thank you for that.
Thanks for the great video! I am a white belt and I love Kesa Gatame so I'm always looking for ways to improve it. Thank you so much!
Thank You again Coach Tom. Fantastic vid, truly amazing.
🙏
Love this channel thanks so much! Really appreciate it!
🤙🏼🙏
Best channel out there.
Sickkk bro
I know what I’m trying at this Tuesday morning’s class🤙🏼
Thanks Prof Tom! As always, incredible content for all us practitioners out here trying to grow in this art form.
Be blessed from us here in TX🇺🇸
Thank you. I’m missing Texas!
@@TheGrapplingAcademy plz let us know when you’re headin’ back out this way. It’d be a privilege to attend a period of instruction held by you🤙🏼
Awesome. Thanks ! 🇵🇹💯
Great video
Thank you
Professor Tom is legit!
Probably good advice to flip the food pyramid as well and focus on protein and healthy fats, with carbs as needed based on energy needs/output
Thanks professor tom
As a big dude I love Kesa Gatame!
Me and my sister call him BJJ Thor😍😅😂 love the accent😩 and the content😂😂🤙🏽🤙🏽
Haha thank you I’ll take that as a compliment ☺️💪TD
If I ever find myself in SA I know where I'm goin
Yesssssssss. Did you hear about the recent machado invitational?
Yes I wish I was able to go but was stuck here down under!
Its a pity that I went to WA, I should have gone to other side and train :(
As a lazy heavyweight, I kind of like this one!
Like it Tom, but the acronym is cau not ctu although that seems easier to remember :)
Haha agreed!
How do you modify this to pass a regular guard into the kesa?
Just pass to the underhook side when pressure passing. Practice is key
I want one of those sweet Australian rash guards.
We have a bunch of cool stuff on our tee spring store! 🤙🏼
@@TheGrapplingAcademy I agree. I’m going to get a tshirt but I am not so patiently waiting on the rash guard to come back.
The one dislike on the video was probably looking for wrist lock tutorials..
I know why I am struggling to pass Professor Tom said to use your other legs. I only have two🤔
