- In Budapest's Castle Quarter the Hungarian government has decided to rebuild a multitude of buildings that are historically significant. A lot of the architecture in Budapest that existed before world war 2 will be brought back to life. The "National Hauszmann-Program" ("Nemzeti Hauszmann terv") includes the reconstruction of buildings like the Headquarters of the Red Cross, the Archduke Joseph Palace or the Honvéd High Command Building. Other buildings, like Buda Castel itself will be renovated to regain their former Glory! This is a big step for fans of traditional architecture! Enjoy!

Absolutely amazing to see buildings like those being reconstructed.
The city is becoming more beautiful, powerful and bigger, just like Paris, New York City, Hong Kong etc

Very beautiful indeed. Hopefully other cities will take inspiration from Budapest's initiative. :D
I went to Budapest last week. And its beatiful there.
🌷☺🌷I like this video. I'm glad that the historical buildings of Budapest lost during World War Ⅱ are regaining their old brilliance.
🍊 Budapest is one of my favorite cities in Europe. ❤ Thank you.
Been there several times. In fact, I married the love of my life about four blocks from there.

Absolutely awesome architecture! Much respect and applauding to Hungarians for their courage to rise against ugliness! No more post-modernist and ugly modernist buildings in cities! Beauty is ruling ! ❤️
Tolles Video. Mich würden mehr Infos zu diesem Kanal interessieren, bzw. wer dahinter steht :)
Beeindruckend schön... Trotz der mannigfaltigen Einschränkungen wird was Epochales geschaffen. Respekt!
And later, let's rebuild the Tuileries Palace (Paris), and then the Tower of Pope Paul III (Rome), then the Saxon Palace (Warsaw), then the Konigsberg Castle (Kaliningrad) and then remake the west facade of Ajuda Palace (Lisbon) mirroring the east facade.
The "Hunyadi-court (B-wing) current state" picture shows a wrong facade. It's the Lion-court eastern facade (D-wing), and it's nearly original (exc. the windows, the 3 doors instead of one, the missing clock and the roof basically). Behind the great windows lays the throne room in original shape, but completely cleaned out any ornaments.
(A- northern reception wing (now demolished back, it's been widened with 3 window axis to make it symmetrical with C-E), B - ball and buffet room, C - the cupola and chapel wing), D - throne and representative rooms(BCD now National Gallery), E - royal wing, now Bp History Museum, F - archduke wing for the administration, now National Széchényi Library)

Can someone tell me what music is playing please?
Dear Traditional Architecture,
The 4:11 and 4:27 pictures are contradicting each other. I am talking about the lenght of the building. Most likely he shorter version will be realised, much to everyone's dismay.
Everything will be restored to the way it was before.
Íncredible how much have been destroyed by barbarian Nazi's and Communists! Budapest Wás as beautuful as Paris😢
Mostly bombed by the Americans...
It will most likely be restored to it's beauty once again, let us hope anyway.
Just love it Hungary is bringing back the full glory of Austrian Imperial grandeur. I am sure a Habsburg will take the throne of Hungary again.

Getting ready to rebuild the Empire that works for true Europeans. No more EU😅
This is not the Austrian imperial grandeur, but the masterpieces of Hungarian architecture and architects! The big Horse dick! Never will sit on a Habsburg Hungarian throne! If there is another king, he will clearly be a Hungarian king! What would a Habsburg do here anyway? The House of Habsburg also owes its existence to the Hungarians.
maybe its a surprise but we are not big fans of the Habsburgs... check our history for more :)
@@Protagorasz Since the House of Habsburg died out with Maria Theresa, the current royal princes living in Hungary are only Habsburgs on the female side, so they could also be kings of the House of Árpád, since the blood of Prince Árpád also runs in their veins on the female side...
Ok very good but the video needs a bit more attention to graphics and labelling. The casual viewer does not know what they are looking at. All that he/she sees is a series of ornate classical building exteriors/interiors. What is existing? What is proposed? What is CGI? What is real? What is past tense?.... Assiduous labelling within the image frame, please!
is traditional architecture made of reinforced concrete? xdddddddddd
Looks so wrong indeed. I dont get why they couldnt stick to the original plans. Okay, standards were changed since then but this is restoration.
Regulation makes it impossible to not insulate, and this is the only way to solve it structurally. Think about it like this: if we wanted to rebuild these completely traditionally, it would be impossible under current regulations. So after all this is still the best thing that can come out of the circumstances.
I would love to see the the woke leftist mobs and modernist architects screaming in despair calling it “fascist” “not from our time” disneyfication and other bs 😂
They already exist. The German DIE WELT has already made a video about these construction sites...
My only problem is that the Palace won’t be public anymore but it will become the residence of the President of Hungary.
Although the current one does look better in my opinion. It has this elegant British vibe.

@@LachlanMacDonald44 It's vile! Especially that ghastly dome. Bring on the restoration!
Keringő helyett tegyenek csárdást, palotást zenének. Ha Ferenc József udvarában jó volt, meguknak is az kel legyen.

Sadly this won’t be public after reconstruction. It will be the residence of the President.
Where you get this information from?. The president's palace is the Sándor Palota. Also located in the Buda Castle District.
@@sempresperanza The government is planning to move the President of the Republic into the King’s Castle (Original name of this palace) while the Prime Minister will move into the Sándor Palace. The reason is mostly historical revisionism as before 1944 the head of state used to live in that palace and the PM lived in the Sándor Palace.
I find the idea ridiculous but the government is hell bent on this whole “Reviving 1944 Hungary” thing.
If only Germany could do the same 😫😞
