- In Madison, Wisconsin, there’s a famous street that connects the State Capitol to the campus of UW-Madison. State Street has been a pedestrian mall since the 1970’s and is lined with very diverse shops, restaurants and art that make it the go-to place to experience the Madison vibe. John and Emmy love it!

Well it looks pretty awesome. I'm looking to move
It’s awesome for 6 months, winters are tough. Cheese, Brats and Spotted Cow are amazing. I enjoyed my 2 years in Madison but don’t miss the cold lol.
Eating out
State Street is a pale imitation of its former self. What was once an eclectic mix of boutique shops, mom & pop restaurants, and local businesses has given way to national chains, as they're the only ones left who can afford the rents. So much local flavor has been pushrd off of the strip, and out of the downtown area in general.
What is downtown Madison other than the University of Wisconsin? 😮
Chicago is the largest city in Illinois but it’s not the capital.
The Coronado Theater in Rockford Illinois has a Grand Barton Theater organ. As far as I know it still works.
Otis Redding’s airplane crash landed in one of the lakes in Madison and lost his life.
It’s 2024 and y’all are still tripping on the vegan restaurant?
