- One of the more requested videos I get is how should I run a dungeon and explaining start to finish how to do it. Well, here you go. I break down from start to finish on how to run a dungeon and analyze choices on trinkets and combat targets.
Come hang out on twitch:

"Hey guys on this video I'm going to show you how to have a bounty hunter free run. First let's go over my 4 bounty hunters. Make sure they are equipped with bounty hunters. Then before you go off to the dungeon buy at least 12 bounty hunters, 8 bounty hunters and maybe one bounty hunter in case you come across a bounty hunter. Make sure to bounty hunter and bounty hunter and let me know what you think in the bounty hunter below.
This game is amazingly addictive, and in that dark environment reminding Diablo 2, I encourage to anyone to play it.
I'd say the grim atmosphere is more like D1 than D2.
@@alexxx4434 I just started with D2, and all of us will agree that it is enough grim compared with the third...
"I did not come home with a lot of gold."
Meanwhile that reward was more gold than I have in total.
Thank you for this good video.
Just me or is your mouse cursor really out-of-sync? It appears to be to the bottom-right of where you're actually pointing.
recording software's fault
I'm a new player so my opinion is suspect, but you heavily emphasized critting enemies to reduce stress, new players wont have many (or any) crit trinkets, while your level 6's were deck out. The enemies were low health and unremarkable compared to your op heroes and died quickly, generating almost no stress. And finally, you didn't generate any stress walking around, my level 1's start accumulating stress with full torch light almost as soon as they enter the dungeon, my guess is it's due to your heroes having high resolve levels.
Heroes are not OP, level 6 versus level 5 is almost the same thing, slightly better resistances, slightly better stress. Well, and +5% virtue chance in Darkest missions. He created a good comp, that allowed him to dodge every fight he did not need to participate in and quickly go through every single one that did need to happen. Level 5 dungeons are always punishing, even for level 6 parties.
There is a saying: "making this look easy". He does kinda make this look easy, but try this yourself when you get to this stage of the game.
Finally, this is the guide for Champion level dungeons, everything before them is much, much easier, excluding Shambler. First few missions are nearly impossible to be stress-free without a stress healer in the party. It is compensated by the fact that none of the heroes on level 1 is important enough to not be quickly dismissed if he becomes too much trouble(for example, from taking excessive stress)
Phew
Turn around and tell me that to my face.
I just make my poor crusader heal stress and stun the shit outta the stress damage enemies. Works most of the time but the GREAT RNG can mess that up. A lot. I play this game maybe a few hours every week. Cant do more. Pisses me off too much.
Sir Hasslich this is not a guide for Champion level dungeons. This is a beginner’s guide to having very low stress at the end of a dungeon that he so happened to do on Champion level.
Since this is a beginner’s guide, it is for beginners. Experienced players can take this into account as well if they do want to do dungeons without stress, but he really should have done it with new characters and gear that beginners would have.
Rob
Jester is a crit machine. No trinkets needed in low levels.
If I run a musician Jester with a solo/finale combo for clutch takedowns, he can buff my characters to crit left right and center.
It's unbelievable how many times my Exsanguinate has crit on both the damage and healing of the attack with a double Jesters buff.
I’m the one that stresses out
Can't stress out in a dungeon if you uninstall the game ;)
I love this game don't flame me
Lol every time i play i think at least once: ok that's it. Gonna hit deinstall right after this
i am just creating new save files
i always regret what i am doing in this game
Huge depth to this guide, and as someone new I can use all the help I can get to try an keep my deaths under a hundred thousand or so :). Thanks again for the depth, discussion and perspective.
Fantastic guide.. I'm a new player and I was having a hard time to collect stuff e get to at least lvl 3.. I started from the beginning aplying your tips and it's almost like i'm on easy mode now.. totally different experience. I played 4x longer than before and I got one full stress bar only once because the croccodile.
Wow i never thought about doing fire at end. Thanks for the tips!!!
man please keep up the good work i love darkest dungeon
Some very good tips. Never considered saving the firewood to remove negative stuff. Thanks!
Great vid, man. Really informative.
You call your Grave Robber a Bounty Hunter and call your Bounty Hunter a Bounty Hunter.... wtf...
Handsome Jack fuck it they're all bounty hunters. Hellion the other bounty hunter. And then of course let's not forget the healing bounty hunter.
Dustin Martell lmao
Man I was really confused when you were talking about bounty hunters
Beginners guide starting with 3.5 million gold and hugely buffed characters...thanks for your help.
Love your stuff .
Great stuff! You mentioned a spreadsheet? Where can I find that?
here you go:

Grave robber?
I think you mean bounty hunter
John Paul 2
my whole main squad just died of an heart attacked :( i forgot to bring torches.
My main squad died to the collector in my frigging greed strike to loot
Again (I asked similar in another vid), how would you adjust this in light of the recent significant decreases in stress healing from crits?
Awesome videos as always dude! Keep it up!
*Calls Grave Robber a Bounty Hunter*
Me: FFfffffffu-
The Collector showed up and dropped a 20% protection 20% stress reduction with no downside, Very rare. Got it with level1 and 0.
What is the name of the trinket if I may ask?
job Robbemond it’s one of the heads
Can I play this game without getting pissed off ? It looks great I like the theme and environment.
I'm late on it but I find relying on crit isn't a very good strategy. Consistency and predictability are the best things to win at this game, and crit is just pure RNG, half the time the crit won't be usefull anyway because the monster was almost dead, meaning you're wasting crit trinkets.
Dude fix your mouse cursor i like the guide but the mouse being out of sync bother me badly and im sure im not the only one
I think you should have emphasized speed more. I think at some points in the video there were untaken opportunities for extra healing at the end of combat.
How do you lock in a positive quirk and negative quirk on ps4
Prot marks are really good even without mark team setup, bounty hunter's mark increases his speed a lot, and -20% prot might not seem like much, but on an enemy with 40% prot for instance, which is common with mobs like the ghouls, ucas, swinetaurs etc. the -20% debuff(if it applies) gets them to 20% prot, so if before your team would do 60% of their normal damage, now they'd do 80% of their normal damage, and since prot scales multiplicatively as opposed to additively with hero damage, that means with the debuff your heroes inflict 33% more damage, so if you get to do even 4 normal non-mark benefiting attacks, it's already worth using it to lower the prot.
@O K Yes, I know maths, and I know how the game utilizes the stats too, since I've modded the game for myself, but I digress, here's an example:
Say you're fighting a mob with 70 hp and 40% prot. Suppose you could choose to either mark it for -20% prot, or deal 15 unmitigated damage during that char's turn. If you chose to attack, the damage is first of all reduced by 40% so you deal only 9 damage.
After this character's turn, the outcomes would have been: an enemy with 70 hp and 20% prot if you chose to mark, or an enemy with 61 hp and 40% prot if you chose to attack. In the first scenario, the monster would need a total of 87.5 unmitigated raw damage coming its' way for it to die, whereas in the 2nd scenario, that monster would need an additional 101,(6) unmitigated damage for it to die.
The only time in which marking for the prot debuff wouldn't be worth it is if the creature itself is VERY highly resistant to debuffs, or has, like many of the more dangerous bosses in the game, lots of actions per combat phase, thus even if you debuffed it, it would expire very quickly.
Apart from prot marks, the -dodge debuff marks are also situationally very useful, as it so happens quite a few of the heavy hitting player skills are slightly lower acc and most of the more annoying enemies, especially those that hang out in the back lines and inflict stress are dodgy bastards, but unless they have high enough hp to justify it, it could be more appealing to just roll the dice and hope you don't miss, or to get them out of position, by either pushing the frontliners to the back or trying to pull them forward.
And then we have the courtyard mazes.. How do you manage your stress there? It always kinda stacks up for a while if you're not using jesters, but then again you will have to visit it more often if you don't push on while allready stressed.
If you bring a stress healer, it definitely helps. Without a campfire, the best way to reduce stress is to increase dodge and use stress heals more often, but with the courtyard, it is designed to not be completed in one stage, with a lot of stress. It will take 3-5 runs to manage your stress even if you are using the maps.
you are good at the game but you got a bit lucky with the mobs you had to fight. there wasnt mean stress dealers. i normally get two in most fights.
wtf is zikse in your character roster?
I totally had the Montel somg in my head evem before you said it lol
resume of the video: always focus stress cast mobs in te backlines and use encourage when u are campin to reduce stress
Know ur quirk .. and know your dungeon also helpfull
9/16 is roughly 56% or so. That is below the collectors 65%.
I haven't gotten past week 3 so I watch this video now my mouth is a gape and I'm even more Clueless
What do u need help with?
Whats the hero at the top of his roster? i was thinking it was an abomination or some end game hero, or would it just be a moded class/hero
Ninja, there are major spoilers to the answer. Don't want to ruin it for everyone ;)
Its a hero turned because of the Crimson curse DLC. If left unchecked they turn into some weird monstrosity.
any place online where i can go and look at it
If I recall It's one of the "creepy" artifacts the game randomly displays whenever you've progressed far enough.
This thread should explain it. SPOILERS:
steamcommunity.com/app/262060/discussions/0/458606877316336892/
Or run a jester
Step one:
KEEP JESTER IN THE BACK
It's so confusing he keeps calling the grave robber bounty hunter
What is the heroe that looks like some monster? Zikse.
The Abomination or the flagellant. Abomination has the ability to transform into a giant beast like creature.
"cove easier" - Fuck that!
Free stress ?
Dodge, crit, steady. Focus Stress dealing enemies.
that mouse is giving me a headache
Anyone want to narrow all this info into bullet points??
crit is usually a waste if your hero is going slower than most of your other heroes. for that reason you are not taking full advantage with the hellion.
Geeez man, You've just showed lvl6 heroes on quite easy dungeon as a 'Beginner's Guide'... pls show the same results with lvl 0-1 heroes
I mean if a comp or strategy's good enough for a champion dungeon, then it's certainly good enough for apprentice.
week 436?!? Daaamn..
why you need light?
Light makes the run safer. It increases your own critical hit chance, dodge, and chance to surprise the enemies. When it’s dark, you DO gain more loot, but enemies have a bigger chance to surprise you and and crit you. Also, you gain more stress when it’s darker. Hover your mouse over the torch on the top of the screen and it’ll tell you what effect the current light level has.
August Gremaud low light gives crits
i know what light gives, my question was: why you are not good enough to make a run without light...
i never use light, not even once.
Shateiken That’s fair. It depends on the difficulty and how much grinding you want to do. No light means handing a greater degree of control over to RNG (crits, etc.) meaning that even with perfect play, more things will go wrong: more abandoned runs, a couple more dead heroes. Those losses take time to grind back from and that’s not for everyone. Think of it as a difficulty setting preference. Not everyone wants to play hardcore all the time, assuming they’re even good enough.
Also, the vid’s about one thing and one thing only: how to minimize stress. If that’s someone’s main concern, and not difficulty/loot, then torches are one of the most obvious solutions.
Damn you got 3.5m all I've got is 52k
I got 1k feels bad man
You sorta sound like Moon Moon OW
I thought Uberdanger first couple of seconds of hearing his voice. Lol.
Some cheats for this game for PS4 ?!
Git gud
Play it on a computer. Give yourself unlimited gold, portraits, shields, etc.
the point of the game is to be hard. why make it easy with cheats, its just boring then.
Good guide. Subbed. But please stop saying bounty hunter to the grave robber. Argh!!!!
The number of times you call the GRAVE ROBBER a BOUNTY HUNTER is ridiculous dude. Especially as you go on about it being the best in the game and your favourite "babygirl" etc. You can't even get the name right? Come on man ...
20 Minutes in he never calls the Robber a Hunter. He talks about the Hunter while clicked on the Robber, but never says that the Robber is the Hunter. Ex. 17:55
@psychotic2008 You're deaf.
he does multiple times. you need your ears checked.
And I think one of the grave robber's trinkets he went over said "grave robber" on it.
5:16 Bounty Hunter is a woman? what?
i got kinda confused here
Stress free? just bring a jester Kappa
I am very new to this game, and I have been watching videos to get the mechanic because the idiot producer did not put a valid tutorial. But Videos in CZcams been a disappointment too. I dont mean to be rude, but as far as I've seen, nobody actually know what they are doing, especially about stress. Stress in this game is like a whip that the developers put it there like an alarm clock, keeps your suffering constantly, prevents you to be comfortable. And nobody really knows how to deal with it. Such a frustation...
god you’re an asshole... play the game and figure it out yourself then
Stress Reduction: Bring crit trinkets or a jester, always keep torches at full light, scouting helps immensely to avoid battles and choose your path-Bounty Hunter with Raiders Talisman is extremely strong here; Prioritize damage over healing when you can eliminate a turn-giving the enemy an extra turn is a chance for RNG to stress/crit you. Always prioritize stress mobs, obviously.
