    Great video production. Quality audio, HQ image, good angles, good frames, and I especially like the detail cut scenes. Thanks!

    I climb very similar to this but with an ewo 1 stick up ,10.5 mm platinum rope, a gri gri + belay device and same as you technique wise. Very good video for the beginner or seasoned climber. Ordered the tether lock and I have a roll up pouch I may incorporate into the base of my stick after viewing your video. Thanks for taking the time to share this info.

    Hey Spencer,
    Great video as always! Very well done and very informative. I dug the groovy music at the end too! I'd really love to see a video of your technique and order of how you get all your gear into the tree, etc. Pack and bow only, I guess if you're just using that stick as a platform too. Now that I've been practicing since Spring, I need to become efficient at getting my bow, pack and platform up too. I went out hunting for real the other night and it was a good first run. I'm not one to wear my pack or carry my bow or platform on me as I climb. If you already have a vid on that, maybe just link me to it. Thanks again for a great job. You've saved me an awful lot of trial and error by doing what you do and it's greatly appreciated!

    Great video. This is basically my setup but I use the EWO Ultimate One-Stick with the UP Platform and two step aider. I like the idea of that drop out bag for my rappel/tether line though. Great job.

    Once again, an excellent presentation.
    I'm one of the lucky ones with an ION, and I just can not wait to hunt with it! It's remarkably sturdy and, like you mentioned, it really is confidence inspiring. I feel like I can get up the tree just effortlessly.
    I thought it couldn't get any better until you introduced me to the roll-up.
    Thanks again.

    Great job on the video and info. I’m trying to wade through the options of my first setup, and your videos are a wealth of good info. Did you ever do the final comparison video of the transformer vs the Cruzr XC? I’m kind of down to one of those or the Tethrd. (Although I’m not sure I should rule out the H2)

    To change the rope you remove the cleat and that "pin" is actually a bolt. Unscrew the bolt slide rope out. Slide new rope back in and place bolt back in

    I use a Doyle’s hoist for my bow, I wonder if running a Second Doyle’s on the opposite side would be easier to clip onto rope to pull down instead of the dyna glide?

    two question? do you not caring the old tether or just use the repel rope as a tether.? can you not keep your bow up there with you incase you see a deer on the way down? like on the lineman rope?

  • @gregbrightman1205
    @gregbrightman1205 Před 2 lety

    50 seconds you could tie a double running bowline, No need for a delta link, a special rubber thing to hold up your delta link, no tie, at the end just hook pull down line to the back of the bowline and pull down the rappel line. I like double the rappel line tie an alpine butterfly, nothing else needed

    The technora sheath on those Sterling Canyon ropes are slippery. My rope is Canyon Tech, and even though it is 9.5mm I still had trouble finding a carabiner to work.
