The power door locks in your car are powered by the car's battery. If the car's battery is completely dead, you'll need to lock or unlock the doors manually. The key fob also has a battery, but that's probably not the source of the problem. The power door locks in your car are powered by the car's battery
Can you manually unlock car door?
The manual buttons are located on each door and unlocking one of them will unlock that specific door. Old cars with no electronic locking mechanism don't have an automatic unlock button, they can only be unlocked by engaging the manual unlock button on the door, or by using a tool to pull the handle from the inside.
Will dead car battery cause key fob not to work?
Almost certainly - yes. The car's computer has to have power in order to receive the radio signal from the key fob - but the door lock motors also need power. So if the battery is really seriously dead - those things won't work.
Will central locking work with dead battery?
Usually when the battery dies you central locking won't work and the key will be much harder to turn in the slot because you are fighting a motor with no power. On some cars you can't unlock the doors at all without power.
But what if the reverse happens? Dead battery but how would you unlock the car? One possible solution is to connect a battery charger to the starter, underneath the car. Turned the charger on and the door lock opened immediately.
Can you unlock a car with no battery?
In addition to the radio-frequency gizmos that lock, unlock, or even remote-start your vehicle, most key fobs also contain an emergency metal key that you can use on doors if the car battery is dead. Typically, there's a tiny release button on the back or side of the fob.

How about the rear door?
@EyeonAiman - this works for cars which still had the latch. Is there a way to do this on modern cars which do not have a latch on the inside?
