    Very good work, it's great to see an old engine come back to life. I'm amazed that parts were available for this engine after so many years!

    It ran much better upon the 2nd start - less mechanical noise. That Buhrer engine had been sitting for years with the cylinder full of water, and heavy rusting of the major parts. An absolute credit to the guys that decided to undertake such a mammoth task. I will never understand the 200 people who give this a thumbs down! Always nice to see the old stuff brought back from the dead...... Greetings from Australia.

    You did a fine job. When I saw the inside of the injection pump, I have to say you had your work cut out for you there. That and the starter. Great results!

    It is the original engine! In 1946 Vevey builded 100 tractors with Buhrer engine. All these tractors were exported to France.
    Buhrer didnt want these tractors to be sold in Zwitserland.

    Anyone who has ever heard a Buhrer run would recognize that unique rattletrap sound no matter where they were. What I want to know is where the heck did they find the parts to rebuild that engine at? my husband has one of the very few that made it to America and is in the process of rebuilding it, he's having troubles finding parts.

    • @meintespeerstra5229
      @meintespeerstra5229  Před 6 lety +2

      There are Some Old stock parts available at the Buhrer factory Hinwil Switzerland. Got there Some gaskets and valves. The rest is machined by myself @work. Still very busy to get the rest of the tractor complete.

    • @missbish1000
      @missbish1000 Před 6 lety

      Thank you, valves and gaskets and rings are what he needs most, will get in contact with them soonest, will have anything else machined.

    Gut gemacht! Wie viel Liter Caramba und WD40 sind hier versickert? Wie weit ist denn der Rest? Der Töff hat die schönste Karosse die ich je an nem Trecker sah! Sieht irgendwie sehr sportlich und schnittig aus, ein bisschen italienisch ;)

    The second start sounded alot better than the first. Sounded like it was going to throw a rod or bearing on the first start. Guess it was a timing issue?

    Is the engine newer than the tractor? I ask this because Buehrer made tractors and engines longer than Vevey did.
