This is the warm-up for Olympic weightlifting recommended by Greg Everett of Catalyst Athletics.
Use it as-is, or substitute/omit/add drills as needed to address your individual needs.

Is it just me or does Everett have the most relaxing voice ever? I can’t wait to start Remote Coaching with Catalyst.
Wow.. this is gold. Especially for a 37 year old. I was doing most of the warm ups already.. it good to add the missing ones.
absolutely love catalyst athletics! looking to get certified in January! amazing content!

"..a young bearded coach in his natural habitat"
Nice channel.
Look great 😊
This is greato
Found this by accident. Thanks buddy
replay for Greg's dance move- 1:49. You could almost hear the beat in the background.
Greg shall henceforth be known as "Gainraham Lincoln, the emancipator of the gains"
Good basic warm-up! Thanks for putting it together for the people!
Btw.: what's embarassing about hip circles??? :-)
There are movements you left out in this video from the one you did 13 years ago. Is there any reason for this? I find all of them beneficial. I'd also like to know how your mobility/flexibility compares now to when the original was made. It would be amazing to do a side by side (Spiderman Lunges for example 😉) and demonstrate just how effective these movements are if you incorporate them all into a regular routine over a long period of time.
Thanks for all you do, it literally does not get any better than this channel.
I found that some were not specific enough to WL to justify the time for people who are usually short on it. The spiderman lunge looks pretty much the same - shoulders and upper back not quite as good as they used to be, but that's major shoulder injury/surgery + herniated cervical disc more than aging.
This is awesome. You recently sent emails with recommended barbell-specific warm-ups for snatches and jerks. Is there any chance you can send one for cleans as well?
Yes and I'll be doing videos for those barbell warm-ups soon as well.
Holy cow, I’m so used to the full beard I didn’t recognize you here lol
This is what I look like at the club
almost identical to the warmups we use in parkour
How about ab roll outs? Would it be better to do after training?
Generally ab work post-workout, but in some cases, non-taxing ab work can be effective pre-workout.
Thanks!
Greg's ROM is astonishing, I feel very insecure
Isn't knee a hinge joint? How does it make circles?
You just watched a video showing the knees moving around in a circle, hence the perfectly logical name "knee circles". You can call it something else if it upsets you that the joint itself is not articulating in a circle. Neither is the hip nor the elbow, and really not even the wrist, when we do those circles. I've never found that particularly offensive.
what about knee circles, is not dangerous?

is there a warm up for the skin on your palms? i have pansy ass hands and it hurts to hookgrip
Is it enough if I do this before every workout?
It's a basic general warm-up - you'll likely want to add more to address your specific needs.

Thank u @@CatalystAthletics
looks like a dance
How does doing hip circles not let you look like a tinman when trying to squat
E
what if u dont own a foam roller
You either skip the foam rolling or you buy a foam roller...
this is almost exactly the same as coach mas warm up...
I'll bet when Greg was younger he didn't feel the need for these warm-ups. As one gets older and becomes crunchier...warm-ups become necessary.
Actually I've always warmed up thoroughly... one reason I've been able to continue training at essentially the same level for so many years.
HE GIVES GOOD ADVICE BUT WHY DOES HE SOUND LIKE A DEPRESSED SERIAL KILLER?
mark m Who says he’s not? I’d like to see his videos on that too.
Because he murders kilos.
You should compete as a female with your wife and team. Just grow your nails out.
What?
