- In today's video we start tacking the realms of wiring! For the Audi Rs3 ECU to talk to the Skodas VRS body we need to change a lot of wiring, p.s it's not easy! But will the car even crank over?

This series and the last few episodes of Mighty Car Mods have been a VAG fans dream. 🥰
TR Hamza is doing an r36 scirocco, and then 4wd
Indeed it has
I tip my hat to these guys. It's amazing the graft they put in, the money they invest, and the knowledge about these cars is off the scale. Really top quality content.
Humble mechanic doing his Mk7.5 golf Engine swap
I love vag too.
In my opinion, include EVERYTHING. This is honestly my favorite project on your channel, mainly because of the technical part. The more, the better, even if it might seem boring.
I completely agree. To tackle a project like this is awesome. I want to see everything 🤙 he could do a saving salvage 2 channel so we could see the "boring" parts. Like tavarish
Absolutely - couldn't agree more :) The more technical, the better....love the nittty gritty bits.
Blimey...you're a brave man!!! That wiring spaghetti looks a nightmare, fare play to you for taking this challenge on. Hopefully it all comes together & you'll have an amazing car as a result.
This project is unreal. Please include all of the technical stuff, its the best part
This is really quite gripping and the detail is very much part of it. Seeing an engine transplant in near real time is perfect. Keep the technical stuff please Dean.
Never for a moment doubted it would crank. You are thorough in every challenge you face well researched and double check everything you do. It’s truly awe inspiring what you single handedly achieve. Amazing stuff Dean.
i think listening to you talk about the so called boring stuff is just as interesting as the rest of what you do , love it
I hate wiring. I don't understand it at all but I'm glad to see someone does how do you find an interest in so keep doing it
Loving the technical problem solving.
As someone who’s watched your channel for a long time now, I can say this is right up there as one of my favourite projects. Your skills keep levelling up too. Fair play Dean, keep up the detailed work on this series. Personally I love it. It’s not boring in my eyes 😂
Absolutely love this project, can’t wait to see it up and running
I’m loving how in depth you go into the wiring and explain it makes video really interesting
Great content Dean, balance is just right between explaining and working.
Absolutely loving this I’m a geek for all the wiring diagrams and stuff the level of satisfaction when you figure it out is second to none! Please make more like this!
Content just about right, enough for us to grasp what needs to be done to do a swap like this, probably would ask a lot of questions if I was doing the same swap but excellent content from you as usual, thanks, looking forward as always to the next one.
Deano, you are either mad as a box of frogs or extremely clever, I would opt for the latter ! Hats off to you taking on these incredibly complex challenges !!
Honestly full of respect for you Dean. Not a easy challenge at all. You have more patience than me! Enjoyed that you had a more technical element to this vlog. Going forward, i would say, its always good to show some of those aspects but also agree , you don't want a vlog full of you pondering & thinking. Really chuffed it cranked & can't wait for the next part. All the best 👍🏻
Your hours of thinking are certainly paying off. Great job Dean...
Spot on Dean. This is exactly what I was hoping this video would be. I love content like this, methodically working through a problem. Even though the two engines are both from the VAG stable, I was curious about how much was common or easily adaptable. You answered that for me.
Love your content, just the right amount of technical and mechanical issues you're up against, I find it incredibly interesting with your humour included. Great progress.👍
You made the most clear rs3 swap video ever
I think this video was bang on, it’s interesting to see the tech part as well as the body fixing part
This is dangerously difficult. I doff my hat to you for even considering this.
Absolutely love this followed you from start wait every week to see new stuff
Great job Dean. Most people avoid anything to do with the electrics but as long as you approach the changes in a logical fashion, starting with a thorough understanding of both systems, then it becomes so much easier and your chances of success are that much greater.
incredible skill there Dean, looking forward to the next one 😊👍🏻
Absolute legend tackling this challenge
Another great vid Dean, and you were not the only ones that are shocked, this is going to be an epic car when finished! Keep them vids coming mate, amazing job until now and finding your way in uncharted country...
Wow, I was holding my breath that last try! This is some next-level car modding, subscribed for sure! 👍
Thanks for the sub!
Need to see it all mate love stuff like this!❤
i think the wiring in this episode is great very ecucational we should see more of it...thats were we save money...
I love the in depth part because I actually learn a lot during these videos.
Awesome work man! That's a real ball ache of a job, learning so much myself from the videos. Love when you get all they little wins, gives you that boost to get to the end. Top work!
Very impressive. This was next level dedication.
Being a Octavia owner I'm really enjoying this series. I think you should include as much as you can Dean especially when it comes to the wiring and pin numbers, useful if any of us out their ever decided to do this conversation... Keep up the good work 👌🏻👌🏻🚙💨
Great work - love the headaches of pinouts and. rewires. Fascinating
Content like this is my preference
Your hard work is paying off
Well played, skill and determination wins the day..... Can't wait for the next one...😀😏🇬🇧
Nice work on the wiring diagnostic so far.... top job...
Just right for detail and length, spot on!
I like you doing the wiring bit. Takes me back to my electronic days! Nice one
Can’t wait to see the beast run love this channel inspires not only me but lots of people to work on there own cars top man keep the vids coming
I love wiring. Well done working out all the pins to change. Would give most people a heart attack just looking at that. 👍
Brilliant video as usual, wouldn't know where to start, very informative
Loving this Dean as for the wiring it is very educational more so when you can see what you are doing and why. Leave more in.
Just discovered you and this project 2 days ago and i love it.
For me, i love the electronic and computer side of things on modern engine swaps. Every monkey can hang an engine block in a car of the same or similar modular series. Satisfying the electronics and computer is where the real challenge is.
This video series is really interesting!
Brilliant videos as always Dean. Love the content, shows just what an epic project you've taken on. Can't wait for the next video. 😊
just include everything, and in this way you keep us more captivated watching. Great job by the way 👍🏼🤟🏽
Great work and so knowledgable. Look forward to next. 👍👍👍👍
Great work Dean, keep the technical stuff IN. It's really interesting! Your skill levels have improved a lot.
keep'um coming.👍👍👏👏
Yeah, luv the technical stuff 👍👍👍
Just shows ur great at this work, no other people helping and you just get it sorted. love the vids matey
Just keep doing what you do, that is why we are here Dean.
Great series. Car will be class when it's done
I love this series 😌
When finished, this will literally be the ideal car/wagon! Powerful, fuel efficient and spacious. Oh, and great looking. Kinda makes me miss my old vRS Octavia estate. Now I’ve a b9 RS4 Avant 2.9 but reckon I’d actually prefer Deans 2.5 vRS3 Octavia. Top work fella 👌
Great content Dean! Keep in the detail. 🎉
Great work love the videos looking forward to the next one
I think the level of detail has been great, enjoyed learning more about the electrical pins!
what an undertake. congrats!
My first video of yours i watched instantly subscribed very intresting to see technical sides of explaining u definitely have alot of patience and that is key on projects
Was so happy for you when it cranked Dean 👌👌👍
Well done Dean. It’s great to see every tiny step of the process, which is what we would be doing (if we were as brave)! Keep it going and look forward to hearing it start soon
Great video Dean you have the patience of a saint and you lost me about 60 seconds into the video with all them wires and stuff. Great job mate looking forward to the next one. Thank you 😊😊😊😊
Great progress Dean, well done. Looking forward to the first start-up. 👌👍
💯 genius, can't wait to hear it roar
Can't wait to see the vrs/audi going
this is definitely the right kind of stuff to include bud, it just goes to show what exactly is involved these days, in the old days you could basically just get another engine banged in and a few slight modifications, and away you go, but in this day and age, there's just so many tiny differences that ends up makeing a huge amount of more work, 👍👍
Nice video Dean, you did good. Epic moment to hear the car crank. Looking forward to hear the car run.
Love what you’re doing, Dean. Good balance of explanation and showing how you problem solve. Would like to see you show exactly how you are changing the pins, as I’ve never done that myself. Can’t wait to see this bad boy running.😎❤️
Great content SS Flexin' some skills here 👌💥 Coming on nicely 🤘
Great project -wiring baffles me so fascinated to see how you are swapping it all over . It will make a great conversion as these engines are pretty special. Look forward to seeing it up and running Keep it up Dean 👍👍
Well done Dean for having a go at the wiring it would be rocket science for most of us but you found a way through. Keep up the great work I can't wait for this car to start & run.
Very nice progress mate can wait for next video 📹 😊
Like your first principles analysis and logic to work out the continuity in the loom. Fascinating stuff, giving a great insight into why there is so much spaghetti attached to modern engines. Upward and onwards mate 👍😎
Well done. It's reminding me of when I swapped s RS4 engine into a Passat many moons ago. Simple rewiring/repining and mrc to help with the coding.
We love technical Dean, bring it on 😊
Genius!! Waaaay above my pay grade….. but keep the content coming, it’s awesome👍👍👍 enjoy your weekend.
We're committed Dean, so just include as much as you think is worthwhile. Great vid and interesting info on the pin outs and wiring etc. This is going to be Epic once done!
Very clever young man and well done good job so far
Really enjoyed this upload
I've got a headache just watching 😂 Lord knows how you felt. Well done for getting this far
Your reaction when it cranked - legend... 😆👍 PS The more tech the better...
I love it. Nice job Dean 👍💪
Class as always dean
Love the detail 🙌🙌
I went away from your channel because you had so many unfinished projects . This has brought me back, WOW Dean, impressive skills.
Thats a great reward for your hard work. Well done.
What a job you've made for yourself fantastic indepth information and thought process well done❤
Keep it all in. There is a tendency to speed through a project as a channel gets popular. We are here for the nitty gritty.
As much as u can really good indepth information keep it coming
Another fantastic video, got balls of steel trying that wiring 😂 looking forward to hearing that fire up properly for the first time.👌🏻
Great Dean your amazing I learn so much from you that now I'm doing my own projects thanks to you
I have to admire your understanding of all the electronic crap. It says something for old school.
Well done Dean for tackling all that wiring, I'd look at that and run lol, can't wait for end result keep up the good work
It looks like you are providing the perfect level of detail. It is very interesting and gives clues at least to thr sorts of problems and fault finding you are having to work through, obviously the fact these are an engine which is fairly modern and a fairly modern skoda body/car are making this both easier and more difficult. Easier in the sense you have been able to find useful documentation but more difficult in that there are so many pins/cables, etc. It looks really cool though and the moments of elation are palpable!!
I think your videos are great as they are ! I wouldn’t change anything mate 👍 good diagrams good information very easy to understand and useful and interesting to watch.
I have a Skoda VrS 230 and my mate recommended this channel purely for these episodes.
But watched a few and was blown away about the vw golf R estate . I even looked into registering onto co part as I want to do my own work, I’m looking at a cayman 2014 or a 997 911 salvage for my first experience not too bad for my first but got experience in bodywork etc already so should be fine. Will be doing it from home tho wich is not great
jesus, my head was battered just listening to you. fair play to you, proper skill there 👍👏👏
