This is like a video game where you can mind control yourself as a game character, and you get feedback in all senses, smelling, touching and even tasting.
7:53 so.... When you got the pizza that was missing 3 slices... did you ever think maybe the dude at the hotel is just a super solid dude right. He ordered a pizza and you came down and asked, "Did you get a pizza?" and he's like yeah I did and just lets you take it right. Then your pizza shows up afterwards. Just saying. I've thought about it and this is the most reasonable sequence of events I could come up with.
I immediately thought "Well wouldn't the guy stop him from taking his pizza away?" then I thought, "Well, I'd be intimidated by a guy with a whole 3rd person VR machine strapped to him so I'll let him have it"
As much as I would love for society to be this awesome there's been tons of meals stolen by front desks, that's why delivery apps now HAVE to take the food to your door.
It's probably not being in 3rd person alone that's making it hard, it's probably also all of those indirect stuff that's making it hard like the relatively heavy mechanism strapped on his back, the unconfortability that lingers over time on the eyes and the modified height since he's probably like 230 cm with the contraption.
Why couldn't they attach a camera to the head with a thin stick instead of this heavy mechanism attached to the back? Camera is not heavy, so it wouldn't break a stick and it wouldn't be hard for the neck.
Idk why but I was laughing so so so so soooooooooo hard when you got hit in the head with a ball 🏀,I replayed it like 80 times at LEAST and screen recorded
the dept wasnt a problem, the huge blind spot in front of him was, in games the characters are programed to do complex things when you watch in third person, he had to basically do these things blind because there is no ui using the most obvious example, in GTA when you use your phone the interface appears on screen, not in the game world
This challenge was far more difficult than it had to be. Placing the camera slightly to the side would solve his issue of not being able to see directly in front. This is why 3rd person in minecraft is so difficult to use with a low fov.

ok but sitting in vr more than 24 hours is hard
@@gravityweights4009 True, but he could've titled it 30 hours or something
@@gravityweights4009 so why say 50 if 24 is already a hard feat to accomplish?

his nervous laughs are so funny and authentic lol
This is like a video game where you can mind control yourself as a game character, and you get feedback in all senses, smelling, touching and even tasting.
The concept is so cool and Ryan just makes it 10x better with his insane editing style
Yeah
Watch liam thompsons vid its the original
Then you realize that Liam Thompson did this first
Hey its the guy from fortnite 😃
He should do 2nd person, like the guy who put a camera on a dog, and saw what the dog saw
I immediately thought "Well wouldn't the guy stop him from taking his pizza away?" then I thought, "Well, I'd be intimidated by a guy with a whole 3rd person VR machine strapped to him so I'll let him have it"
@@ghastlycandle 🤘😂👍
Pretty sure he just gave some to his friend and made a joke about it. But I enjoy this story more 😂👍
If this is true it's a bonus for him anyway, he already ate 3 slices then got a whole new pizza.
Could be there were 2 pizzas one for the staff and the other was his and they mixed them up.
As much as I would love for society to be this awesome there's been tons of meals stolen by front desks, that's why delivery apps now HAVE to take the food to your door.
4:24 “you there?…..oh..I thought you logged out..” hahaha 😂
i love your stuff, do you have a technical breakdown of the cam and vr goggles connection?
i’m still trying to figure out who stole his 3 pizza slices.
That person sucks
I'm trying to figure out how he still had half a pizza left in the morning

YESSSS exactly.
only reason i watched til the end actually
It's probably not being in 3rd person alone that's making it hard, it's probably also all of those indirect stuff that's making it hard like the relatively heavy mechanism strapped on his back, the unconfortability that lingers over time on the eyes and the modified height since he's probably like 230 cm with the contraption.
And the low video quality from the webcam definetely didn't help out
Why couldn't they attach a camera to the head with a thin stick instead of this heavy mechanism attached to the back? Camera is not heavy, so it wouldn't break a stick and it wouldn't be hard for the neck.
@@igors1234 then he would just be seeing as if he was taller, not in 3rd person
@@shadowkyber2510Lol why? Just put it in the same position, but attach to head with a stick instead of this mechanism to the back.
@@shadowkyber2510 Then it would also be enough to turn head to look around instead of turning the whole body.
help this is so fun to watch that i couldn't look away
Idk why but I was laughing so so so so soooooooooo hard when you got hit in the head with a ball 🏀,I replayed it like 80 times at LEAST and screen recorded

Alternate title: I survived 28-ish hours with limited depth perception.
the dept wasnt a problem, the huge blind spot in front of him was, in games the characters are programed to do complex things when you watch in third person, he had to basically do these things blind because there is no ui
using the most obvious example, in GTA when you use your phone the interface appears on screen, not in the game world
limited depth perception, limited FoV, camera stuck in default PoV
no "E" button for interacting

VG hi rember me the 3 kids?
3:54 " Ryan: I thought we were literally face to face. - Dude: No, we're not making out."
This challenge was far more difficult than it had to be. Placing the camera slightly to the side would solve his issue of not being able to see directly in front. This is why 3rd person in minecraft is so difficult to use with a low fov.
Another one would be to tie the camera to the head not the back.
ngl louis wiz does look like ryan, by a lot…
imagine if the reception guy actually ordered the pizza, and was only gonna give ryan a piece of it, but then ryan just walked off lol
