Your talk takes me back to when I was a child in the 50s and early 60s and spent a lot of time with my grandparents and their friends. This was back when organic farming was the only kind, there were no factory farms, and people didn't desire to be a millionaire but rather to be comfortable, that their family, friends and community would be comfortable. The community bonds were strong and the connection to environment and spirit were strong. And slowly it changed. Chemical and factory farming and factory farming came along, as well as the desire to be a millionaire. Democracy was practiced by the citizens who knew their politicians by first name. Citizens were aware and involved. And this was before the internet and TV was just coming in. We have the knowledge, we have been lacking the leadership, we need to become the leaders back to the past and into the future.
This is so true... I miss the things that you've written here, and I was born only in 1979. I'm trying to reconnect to that lifestyle, aligned with nature and with a higher purpose, with less technology. I'm tired of technology... In this moment I feel misplaced in this society, but I can notice that this is happening more and more with people around the world... Greetings from Portugal đ
Thank you for your work, Charles! I listened to this just after it was uploaded, then went about my day. As I was folding laundry the beginning of a poem came to me. I headed to my laptop and this poured out through me:
DISTRACTION (16APR2023)
Create a distraction, some kind of catastrophe
Redirect the people from the central theme
Left or right, it doesnât matter
It all comes down to a power grab in the shadows
Point the finger, never take the blame
It canât be your fault so find a scapegoat
As long as you survive, what does it matter
If these systems you serve bring down the whole boat
Hide the truth, at all costs
If we continue down this path all could be lost
Itâs the same old same old, what is the matter
With ignoring the signs and insisting on the status quo
Among the chaos, a new story is emerging
Ignore it, deny it, fight against it
But it wonât go away, it is what matters
And try as you might, there can be no distraction

Thank you! I especially liked this part: "The word "true" comes from carpentry when you true a line or you true a board. Something is true when it alines you with something. Is that story true? Does it aline with who you really are and with who you want to become? Who you are ready to become? So, that's a true story. It's hard to hold it without allies."
Thank you for this talk Charles. It reminds me of a mysterious passage from a book, called "Secrets of Heaven" by Marshall Vian Summers:
"You will see in the days to come Knowledge and belief and the great contrast between them. What is known has no boundaries. What is believed sets them."
Our experience transcends the stories which have conditioned and shaped our worldview... trusting and following this thread of deeper experience into the unknown is the path which we each are called to in these times, to navigate the collapse of the "old world reality" with this inner compass, as the new story emerges through us, thread by thread, life by life, choice by choice, woven into a tapestry repatterned from the same material, but a greater awareness... How to do this together, is the real conundrum. "Sanity is a group project"... yeah... that is a thread I will take with me and continue to stay with...
I have much gratitude for your influence in the collective consciousness. A new language is starting to manifest. We cannot shift our reality unless we are able to " see " what is.
Your free form talks are clearly a journey of your own unfoldment, while the receivers of your talks are experiencing their own. This is all fertility toward more and more resurrection from the dormant states of feeling more deeply. From there, we can synchronize more authentically with our fellow citizens of Earth. And thanks for speaking about the potency of our actions - even when they are not 'big' nor considered 'of value'. Your deep acknowledgement of the under-acknowledged. Wow.

Thank you! I sought, and continue to participate in groups during the pandemic that discuss this kind of questions. Last night we talked about the death /rebirth questions that environmentalism presents and I pushed the group to consider death and rebirth as simultaneous occurrences. I feel a little like Iâm in a position to bring opposites together but also to show that things happen simultaneously. I say it out loud because Iâm also convincing myself a lot of the time. I know weâre not alone in this and we have to know that the good is here and needs affirmation. 1:32:03

This was wonderful, thank you. I've had my fair share of failures recently trying to act on my dreams for a better world. It is so easy to fall into despair and see my dreams as the deluded product of someone whose talents proclivities don't have obvious economic value, so hearing talks like this is validating and continue to, as Cornel West likes to say, "try again, fail again, fail better."
I also really appreciate you naming that the unwinding of the dominant story has been happening for some time, and that reckoning with certain uncomfortable realities around race and colonization has been a part of that. I think the collapse of the story around health and the medical system is important, but sometimes I've noticed that there is a tendency to see the reckoning with oppression as somehow divorced from that, or even a distraction from it! I think that's because the system has tried to co-opt those movements and make it seem like a more diverse boardroom or Hollywood cast is "progress," and folks have become cynical. But we absolutely need to continue to grapple with those questions and not confuse the co-option of them by the dominant story for the very important realities of oppression we'll need to grapple with in order to heal the human family.

Very much agreed that one of the most important abilities one must have in this time is stillness. To be rooted in reality and not be blown over by the winds of ideas constantly switching directions on any one of us.
To know thereâs always a chance, thereâs always another day and the more we grow and refine ourselves, so as does the world around us.
Itâs not easy to not PAY any of our ATTENTION to the negativity and the inane and often pointless dramatic distractions thrust upon the psyche daily if one cares to stay knowing of current world affairs. But we have a choice to get emotional and swept off our feet, it is to the one who has all the power in themselves of how they may be swayed.
It is imperative that we evaluate that which we digest on a daily. For many allow the ideas and things they are exposed to to rot within their mind and soul. Instead using everything as fuel for oneâs fire to burn brighter while purifying that fuel that is the kindling of these ideas.

There is a transcript you can follow as it goes along or read later it seems pretty accurate to me. English is my first language but I still often read the transcripts as I go along.

Just keep and hold that mindset forever, is all we can do. And in that way influence the dreamscape, that is the consciousness collective. (This is scalable, in terms of active participation, of course). But holding the mindset in a meta-physical sense is equally as important, as physical protest and resistance.
We are earth custodians, given the privilege of experiencing the beauty and wonder that is nature. But we are coerced into thinking that we are managers and supervisors of an industrial world with an ethos that directly opposes nature. And that is the real so called "Spiritual War", which is taking place.
Its more like meta-physical landscape battles and skirmishes. We literally create and hold the space for change to come to life. Whereas the opposition attempt to hack in and influence our meta space, through clever social engineering and psychological experiments, and in that way create an imblance within the morphic field, which is where all the real stuff happens.
The 3D reality experience is more like a distant time echo, of whats really going on in the outer realms of perception.
And if things are starting to morph and shift in 3D reality (which its starting to, that's undeniable now). Then that means in the outer realms, huge re-alignment and restoration of cosmic energies, must be taking place.
I feel we are starting to come back online now. And the real dream of earth stewardship is starting to be constructed and overlayed right on top of this layer. Its our responsibility to reach out for that overlay in our hearts and minds, and give it substance and intention. And that is exactly what we are doing, because nature tells us to do that. So we are on the right track again. Keep going.
