Those nights when you were in bed, late at night when you weren't supposed to, getting into your box to prepare for the next gym fight and getting ready to heal your battle-hardened pokemon, or just trading pokemon with a buddy in a sleepover right before going to sleep.
Sure sucks to see your younger years fly by, but remembering them with music like this sure makes me feel I'm there again. Thank you for uploading this

@@damicothebestthe one thing that Pokemon did for our generation as children is bring us together in something we enjoy. Trading, battling, or just hanging out with people irl or online. It sure has declined a lot, but we were there when it all started so its part of our lives forever ❤
I swear Pokemon legit carried the DS by itself. D/P/Pt, HG/SS, B/W and B2/W2 all are the peak Pokemon games and have a banging soundtrack which totally pushed the DS to it's limits.

Are you forgetting Animal Crossing? Professor Layton Games? Brain sport games like Big Brain Theory and Dr Kawashimas? A lot of solid Mario series games: Kart, New bros, TWO Mario&Luigi games, M64 Reboot... Then there's the Harvest Moon games, I know ppl played at least five different TheSimsTM games on the DS.
I love the DS Pokémon games, they definitely peaked. But dismissing all the other SUPER-popular titles is a bit unfair

They also have Diamond and Pearl available on iTunes for 10 bucks. In fact, most of the mainline Pokemon games are available on iTunes. I just found out about this a few days ago.

It’s nice that they’re officially putting them here but Game freak at least has the right mindset, all Nintendo did was “Yeah let’s put the Kirby Robobot OST up and nothing else”

I know this will probably get lost in the sea of comments to be forgotten, but I would LOVE to see an interview of the Pokémon diamond and pearl soundtrack composers, breaking down the soundtrack and the major themes and the process of making them. Nintendo and The Pokemon Company are separate companies. It's TPCi's choice to release Pokemon related content, while Nintendo _publishes_ their games. Don't forget Nintendo also got two of their own studios to make certain Mario games before the main company publishes them.

maybe it's my lack of nostalgia for a majority, if not all of these tracks but it's got a nice opening, the rest is fairly meh in my eyes, a tad happy go lucky with a dash of adventure sprinkled in saving it from my dislike pile and putting it into my fairly alright mound.

This really shows how if you know what your doing, you can make music with anything. Because back then, they couldn’t use fancy high quality programs on the PC, all they could use was the DS’s sound system, and yet, this is still probably one of my favorite soundtracks.
Don’t get this as rude but games even on the NES had their music done on an actual computer and then compiled as per the system’s requirements. I mean, Cubase was released in 1989, and before cubase there were other options. Diamond and pearls (and hgss) music are just MIDI files with a soundfont. Which is still the standard used today for most electronic music, if you replace the soundfonts for actual synths.

Now we need the red/blue/yellow, gold/silver/crystal, and ruby/sapphire/emerald soundtracks. I love how they sprinkled in sound effects too like getting an item, leveling up, evolving, etc.

This and the Route 209 themes were one of the VERY few tracks such that JUST to hear the music, I would visit an area multiple times.

In all honesty, I don't know how hard it is for companies to release their music to fans but it's something that we want dearly. It benefits everyone to give us what we want and if you really want to give us a nostalgia trip not only should you have done this but you should have released CDs as well ala Smash Bros. as opposed to tearing down fan pages. Please keep doing this.

Listen to this soundtrack is always awesome, it reminds me of the day when i went to buy Diamond Version on its launch date, it truly was a good trip for 14-year-old me, now i'm 29. Hope we can get Black/White soundtrack soon, that easily is the best soundtrack of the franchise!

This is a FANTASTIC resource, especially with the inclusion of the Sound Library!! Do more of this, set an example for Nintendo! GameFreak/TPC doing this, as the highest grossing franchise owners, can push the entire industry with a move like this!!
I almost feel like this is direct response to Gilva Sunner (see the little tounge-n-cheek "AND" in the description). Or perhaps Nintendo shut down Gilva Sunner so they can post the OSTs themselves. Despite our OST losses, if we get more official soundtrack releases like this in the future, preferably for free like this, and maybe across multiple streaming platforms, this could be a real game changer and change a lot of "Nintendo/Japan is archaic in the ways they use internet/music..

This is one of the best soundtracks and I've been listening to it for so many years, and now it's FINALLY uploaded here. So happy to see that it is "officially" out, but I'll always be thankful for other channels that posted the soundtracks. And of course, game freak still has yet to post other incredible games like ORAS and BW and so many others ones that I also listened to as a kid.
Be me, back in 2007, getting my DS with Pokemon Pearl, going through the game and getting stuck on Cynthia battle, getting other games during the year, putting Pearl in a drawer, year 2010 or 2011 don't remember exactly, going back in my game drawer extremely bored, finding Pearl back inside, putting the cartridge in my DS, remembering I was stuck on Cynthia and deciding to give myself the final push to defeat her.
Even better, I remember that I had a full odd Shiny Machoke on that save, now forever lost to time.
Diamond and Pearl are good memories. Real good.

Man, the chills I feel because of the nostalgia, damn, Mt Coronet one and Lake hit the hardest, but all of them just give me the feel to want to play this game again when it launched, good memories

29:19 (Floaroma town) and 41:08 (Route 206) are between my favorite songs of Sinnoh. Surf, vs Cynthia, Sandgem town, Mt. Coronet, Eterna city,... I love these too. Definitely, Sinnoh is one of the Best regions of all.

I'm sure this comes after the recent take down of a popular CZcams channel which for the last few years has been almost our only way to listen to the video game soundtracks of all our favorite video games.
There was never a truly official place to listen to any of these songs anywhere else as Nintendo has never provided any sort of service or platform in which we can listen to even the most obscure titles OSTs.
It's a huge downer we lost the channel, but I atleast thank you for uploading the full ost of diamond and pearl, an official OST release we can listen to at any time. I hope y'all plan to release the OSTs of all Pokemon games following this one as I'm sure people want to hear the wonderful music from red and blue, ruby and Sapphire, all the way to legends of Arceus.
Heavens knows I would return to listen to all those wonderful songs time and time again.
Here's to hoping Nintendo releases the OSTs of their other titles elsewhere too because I would love love LOVE to listen to the soundtrack of the Zelda franchise again and listen to them on official means.

Suprised that the pokemon company released original ost music soundtrack out of the blue. Thank you for releasing this and letting us be able to download it and listen to it. hopefully they do black and white. And black and white 2 plus X@y ost in the future.
