Should be interesting, this event is structured very much like the Jayden/Alaya event at the 3.5 anni. So I'm anticipating young oelde in this event also, and a VC that will link their jobs together.

Just to clarify Rose Blast:
AOE reduction is (60-20*n) were n is the number of units targeted (this cannot be negative).
If she hits 3 targets or more, 0% aoe will be debuffed.
the sleep works the same way... 25% chance (affected by faith and status res flutuations) + a flat bonus chance at the end. wich is (60-20*n).
So, It's an AOE skill that isn't meant to be use as AOE.

Can you test the AoE reduction again? When I tested this before I thought I confirmed your finding. However, as Im testing the AoE reduction again, it works as I initially had thought, and how Astrius works in JP - regardless the number of targets their AoE res gets reduced by 60% (unless they have debuff weakening). I wonder if it was bugged before?
I mentioned this on your Leonis Report too, but Sword!Warrior does have several overlapping cards with Black Mages, including a great Agility card from Hyoh. K!Mont, WoL and Bartz are all great options to put with Helena and Vivi in the future.
The warrior angle isn't my favorite one currently, as aside from the Hyoh card the rest are not really relevant for Helena, but definitely could develop into something better if more cards come along in the future.
Question, maybe gumi is looking to add stronger units/meta defining units in the permanent pool rather than limited simply because they plan on speeding up the meta, and they can't update limited units as easily ( and some are locked to being never updated, aka Neir/Lora Croft and probably Fullmetal units). I'm wondering your thoughts on this. And likely also the reasons you mentioned. Its a good change imo
Only time will tell, but I hope it doesn't speed up any further.
Shes a great unit. Though i found running her in a mono light team a little hit in miss. She does just fine, but the other units in the team dont hold up as well.
Personally, i have found the best success with running her along Sol and Shalze. The vision card synergy is trash, but even with running some of the old school generic vc's as sub cards. Rhamu, helena card for agility, and golem for hp. Was anle to pretty much 6* about every meta team i mocked against.
With evasion being the exception. The amount of buffs, tankieness, heals, status effects, they just pretty much overwhelm and sustain thier way through
Light's tanks are old, and most of the newer units are designed around area resistance, so I dont expect them to hold up well vs the latest unit attackers that currently top the meta, but the Light team still wins even if its not a clean easy win.
I've beaten earth, fire, water, wind, lightning, dark, strike, and devout with a mono light team, really the only thing it's losing to is evasion, which even that you can beat if you gear for it. That said, as I mention in the video, her best team wont be here until Vivi arrives.

I am somewhat surprised that her reraise seal is a debuff instead of a Status Effect. That makes it way easier to cleanse.
I haven't tested that interaction yet, I used the word debuff there for lack of a better term. It's on my list of several things to test with her this week however.
@JB79 oh, it is actually worded as "Debuff Effect" in game.
Hoping I can snag vivi and his VC. I was pretty lucky with Helena as I got he with 25k vis

You could use Trousseau for Mag ATK, or Scions for Light ATK, or even Solidus for some bulk.
@@JB79 nice I was also thinking trousseau. I'll try it out when I get her fully built. Love the X3 shards for th month for that.
Unrelated question about the 120 banner. Thinking about trying to get into earth, do you think queen macherie is worth 2k paid? Figure she can be good for earth and mace teams but not sure if she's too dated. I'm torn between her and ice Howlett. I do not have summer glaci but I have Raph (max reincanated) and dialdo

@@zombiejesus2000 Do you already have Alaya, and Shalze? I think those most recent units are probably the best ones worth taking. Howlet and Macherie are fine, but you could also probably just wait for them to come along too.
@@JB79 I actually do have them both. Bridal Alaya is 140 with 20 reincarnations. Shalze is only level 89. I don't play fire so I've been slow building her (I don't have many good fire units or VCs built. Skipped a lot of recent ones except yuffie)

I'll say that Shalze is so much more than a fire unit! She's an incredible all around support unit.
8:45 new mechanic? isn't this the same as addisons aoe skill but with higher potency?
No, it works completely different than the flat imperils we've had in the past. This one is as I described a 'scaling' imperil, its percentage based rather than a set value. So it can't cause you to go into the negatives.
So it's basically an AoE penetration debuff that got worded differently?
That's exactly what it is. Interesting way to introduce AOE penetration. I like it better than just having it on units/cards, though eventually we might get that who knows.

Suggested team comp definitely sucks, but maybe because of lack of testing. Reraise release is a must in current fights.

@@JB79 I tried it out and I found certain rainbow comps were wiping the floor with it. Maybe I have some of my settings different.
@@beckmsha if going against Alaya, or Solaya, or other mono comps like Dark or Water, or Earth I think this one works fine enough. If going against Devout comps, or etc I would probably work on the Light evade angle. It's one build idea, no one build covers everything; mono element isn't my favorite in general, but multi job helena comps I think are a bit scuffed right now until there is more support for it, which is coming.
