Freddie loved dance music 👍👍🇬🇧
Laugh out loud. God bless you Patrick. It was fun to watch You dancing away in the chair.
Like said below this was filmed at birthday party. The official video has him scatting, in no other way than Freddie could do. I love your energy, Freddie was a different man when on stage, in everyday life they said he was shy and guarded. Thank you for your reactions! Going to go watch this again.
I've probably said this before, but I will say it again - you have such an amazing speaking voice! I'm reminded of my favorite actor, Michael C Hall (Dexter), when asked how it felt to be described as the sexiest voice ever, he answered "ask Barry White"! You are a close second!!
Try to watch the original video. This was a black and white drag party he had for his birthday. On the original version he scats in these very high notes which were left out of this remix. The party was so different and wild it kind of went down in history.
Great reaction :) The video was filmed at Freddie's 39th Birthday Party so I bet it was crazy
The futage for this vid was espacially taken from freddie's 39th birthday party. one of the craziest parties of all time
Hi pat , hello from Scotland. This man could sing and write some great stuff
I enjoyed this very much, great voice, talented artist🎼💫🌷👏🏻Thanks Patrick ♥️
Would love for you to hear Rain must fall!!❤️🎼❤️🇬🇧🌲
Freddie "in My Defense"...
You'll Love It !
I loved your reaction. I forget exactly where in the video, but there is a quick flash to Freddie’s husband
Jim Hutton (who was very understated and quite camera shy) he is shirtless with a bowtie and a mustache. I enjoyed reading about this party, and the filming of it in Jim Hutton‘s book.
On a sidenote, one of my favorite songs of Freddie Mercury is “ in my defense”, somebody else mentioned it here as well.
I love your Queen and Freddie Mercury reactions. I always get so happy when happy when I see you’ve posted a new one.
I really enjoy this song, it has such a lively feel to it. The original from 1985 is even better. Thank you for your reaction.
Love Freddy's stacked vocals in the Corus
REQUEST:
“Mr. Bad Guy”
The original version.
AND… ALSO the Brian Malouf mix of the song, which is a rock version.🙏
Of course it was a solo song.. this is a remix of this solo song. Freddie had several non album solo tracks and 2 solo albums. So this is from Mr Bad Guy in 1985 and there are 2 famous remixes to this song. the first was done in 1992 for the Freddie Mercury album, a bunch of solo original and remix songs. the second is this had a big impact and being a number 1 or top 10 hit around the world. 2 years after his death. so... respect to freddie.
I love this song, he sure knew how to throw a party! I'm not sure if you've reacted to Freddie's cover of the Platters song The Great Pretender? It's amazing ❤
Hey Patrick!
Like others said, you really need to see the original version from 1985! (Esp considering you said you liked the vibe/the party context… because this remix was “toned down” a LOT.)😳
Re. Freddie’s solo music: Because Freddie had said “Do whatever you like with my music, just don’t make me boring”… There have been a LOT of posthumous (after 1991) remixes done/very DIFFERENT versions of his solo songs… like a dance version vs a ballad vs a rock version. (Some of the remixes are great; sometimes they’re not as good as the originals.)
So, SUGGESTION:
There are a few songs that you might want to just react to the original AND remix, at-the-same-time.🖖
EXAMPLES:
“Mr. Bad Guy”.
There’s the 1985 ORIGINAL, there’s a later “remastered Special Edition” (which isn’t actually as good as the 1985 original, IMO… All they did was tweak audio levels so Freddie’s vocals don’t stand out as sharp on the high notes.) There’s ALSO a “MALOUF MIX”, which is an AWESOME rock remix. (Aaaand, there are also earlier demo versions - two of them - with different lyrics.) So, with some of his solo stuff, it can be pretty confusing!
Also, “Love Kills”.
The original is a dance mix. (And there are other remixes that are also dance mix style.) THEN, there is also a BALLAD version (which is quite nice).😁
P.S. Re. VIDEOS: If there’s no official music video for a song (like “Mr. Bad Guy” for instance… which is surprising, since it’s the title track)…
SUGGESTION:
You can ALWAYS find excellent quality fan-made music videos for pretty much any Queen/Freddie song. (One channel is: KacioRMX… There are others, too.)🙏🏻
Just sent you a very interesting not so much interview but chat with Sir Brian May, filmed in his kitchen recently, talking about fame, and mental health amongst other things, it's in your IG private messages, it's on for around an hour or so, so you'll find more out about himself and the others and everything else he has achieved in his life so far
The original is betterbin my opinion but this is good. Tje lady dressed as a cat is Jo Dare, she did a duet with Freddie called "Hold on", a track from the album of a German film called "Zabou", great 80s track
Love it!!! Check out Let me live
I like the original much better than the remix. It’s so much more “Freddie”…more than you see here, even more amazingly Freddie.
Listen to the original version, Patrick. This is messed up
Nah, its s good remix. Received well among the fans in 1993
There are no Freddie M fan songs. but there is a poor atampt of AI and some silly as if his songs with 1 or 2 unrecognized lines he never made real songs of used by dumb people trying to live of of his name.
