french horn is definitely the most cinematic instrument, it just can portray so many emotions which is truly amazing.

As one who has played horn, or attempted to play horn this is amazing. I expect the piece is 5X times harder on horn than it would be on trumpet. Having played (or tried) both, I admire those who can do it well on trumpet. To those who can do it like this on HORN, I owe reverence.

I had not heard of this group until recently. CZcams brought me to the music of Chris Castellanos because I like French horn recordings of popular music. From there I was led to the Boston Brass and I am glad I was led there

horn is dynamic, it can sound like a trumpet, flugelhorn, muted trumpet, trombone, bass trombone or tuba, basically all brass instrument.

@SpeedyNeutrino43 ....I was apprised of the meaning of pedal tone when I was in my high school band. I don't know if it's strictly a pedal tone but listen to a contra bass saxophone playing in the lower register sometime. Frankly it sounds like a fog horn to me. You're right...I know enough about the french horn to know this performance is extraordinary. I've also listened to Dennis Brain and Barry Tuckwell enough to recognize virtuosity.
