An 18-year-old psychopath is trolling America.
Everything this guy did was designed to get media attention and drive the most significant divide possible by placating every talking point the anti-gun far left has.
He packaged an online mass shooting starter kit and gave it to the media and said, "Make me famous and make some more mass shooters," The media said. Ok.
He wanted to solidify himself as the architect of how to become more famous than ever by committing mass shootings, and it worked!
Congratulations to America's Mainstream Media! You did it again.
You made another sociopathic low-life famous for killing a bunch of people and inspired future shooters in the process.
Especially now, considering We are living at the height of clout chasing, where people eat laundry detergent for views, this is no different, except the clout chaser is an evil psychopath who was chasing clout with a gun in his hands.
I promise you, if he thought no one would talk about him, mention his name or watch his disgusting little live stream, He wouldn't have done this because his motivation was attention, and we just gave it to him in spades and then wonder why we keep having these copy cat mass shootings.
And, of course, the anti-gun lobby and their anti-gun politician exploited this shooting to push gun control right on cue.
Here's the irony the shooter said he chose to: "carry it out in New York due to its strict open carry gun laws, which would make it harder for someone to stop him."
This is not rocket science; shooters like these are cowards looking for easy targets.
Body armor and an AR-15 don't make you immortal
When you have other people shooting back at you, it changes everything; you go from I'm to kill everyone in this place to, oh shoot, I'm being shot at
That shifts the focus away from killing unarmed innocent people to the people shooting at you, giving the unarmed people time to escape.
That security guard may have lost his life, but because the shooter had to deal with the security guard shooting at him in the first place, there's no telling many lives he saved just by having a gun.
Long story short, gun control creates victims, not safety.

If you don't fight ignorance it will steam roll right over you. People better wake up. And the way the media has handled this is absolutely disgusting and like Colion said they just gave this chump all the attention he could ever want. The fact that they still have the nuggets to scream for more gun control when they failed to implement the regulations already in place is just pathetic. So because they failed we have to compromise more. In MA I'm already at a disadvantage if I have to defend myself because I'm limited to 10 round mags. Yet everyday in MA they post arrest of criminals with 30 rounds. They just don't see it. The logic is right in front of them but they are blinded by stupidity. What's the first thing every victim says when interviewed? " I never thought this could happen to me" . Yup because your oblivious to reality and you let them install their false sense of security. NYC's restrictive gun carry permits are expected to get a smackdown soon by the Supreme Court, possibly with an opinion by Clarence Thomas. There hasn't been a major shooting in a while. The media needs blood and a crazy white kid to use a scary black gun. The fact that NY has some of the strictest gun control only gives them a place to demand more gun control.

You would think these fucking morons and I mean anybody and everybody that believes gun control is the answer.. you think these idiots would realize that over 80 fucking years and thousands of laws on the books have only made things worse did you realize or do you know that last weekend in the United States a grand total of 104 people were shot? Let that resonate for a moment. 104 people total nationwide. That's the official number. And they want more of the same bullshit to fix this? It's a well-known fact that where there is stricter gun laws and the strictest gun laws that's where the gun violence is the absolute worst. We have very relaxed laws here in New Hampshire and we have almost no firearm crime at all ever. Sure it happens. It happens in every state. Obviously the higher the population the more it's going to happen. But there are some things that are very obvious and I just mentioned them. I have five daughters. Four live with me. I protect them nobody else does and I God damn well will never fucking rely on anybody else to save them or me. I'll handle it. That's a roll with the dice I'm refusing to take. When the trees would grow their leaves, the new trees would stand out from the others and from above, create a swastika. He said that they will not be showing the picture of what was found as that would be doing exactly what those who planted them wanted, and be rebroadcasting their sick beliefs. Media companies today need to take a page from this. (When the trees were found, they were cut down and replanted with native forest trees.)

No, it doesn't, but when the threat has a gun, it sure as hell gives one a better chance to level out the playing field. That's why that coward wouldn't do it locally, he knew he would have a high probability of meeting resistance, meaning armed individuals, and where he went, little to no resistance, meaning mostly or all individuals are unarmed. Most people aren't gonna try to take an armed individual down, especially those who have never served in the military or that don't have some form of training.
