Dr John has become a beacon of hope and compassion something sadly lacking in the modern brutal NHS.

Would you consider producing a video on “Central Sensitization” that we who suffer this affliction could share with family members? It is a very challenging affliction and difficult to describe to friends and family. Thank you.
Additionally many of us were getting significant relief of the whole body pain with carefully managed long term opioid therapy that tragically has fallen into disfavor. Perhaps you could comment on the negative results of this prohibition in the same video as it is such a big issue with the public.

I had a CCS diagnosis for awhile because they thought people with Ehlers-danlos should have the one diagnosis over fibromyalgia. I told my pain doctor to years into longterm treatment that I was still have pain that felt separate of the joint and muscle pain of EDS.
He told me that in the last 2 years that the criteria for assessments for Fibromyalgia had changed (not as specific and MUCH closer to the syntoms if CCS in consideration of how affected the central nervous system can be after trauma of manifold kinds). He reassessed me and changed the diagnosis back to include fibromyalgia.
Might interest you even if you dint have EDS is may apply.
But personally. They are also seeing that a lot of people wirh EDS dont have CCS but also fibro. Not all but a fair amount.
Mayne look up something like "new criteria for assessing Fibromyalgia" online and see if you think the shoe fits?
We so often have to research and self advocate. I worry a little bit about CCS diagnosis because it COULD be misconstrued as a psychological condition. Analysts are as aware of that as pain doctors and I found that to be strange. Of course, they humanized me and my questions when the topic came up, but I felt like it was possibly not fully grasping what it feels like, in terms of them fully understanding our pain, not that CCS isnt real and valid, just that revisiting Fibro can help us "be seeen" in many cases and becuase of the way the criteria was changed (I think, around 2018, U.S.)

@@Gpacharlie also, i wrote that to be helpful and give you information about solutions over problems, and I didjt write all tha out to put doctors down, more like point out a problem that can pop up in the diagnosis process. They DO happen. When my diagnosis got fixed I felt more validated and understood. Hopefully doctors additionally take CSS seriously but some people feel a little uncomfortable with that diagnosis.

While in the Hospital for internal bleeding I was given morphine for most of the 21 days. As I was getting ready to go home I asked the doctor if he would send a couple weeks of pain meds with me. The doctor refused and I was left dealing with some Tylenol and this drug called methocarbamol which is for treated muscle spasms. Well my muscles weren't spazing on me I was just hurting all over and still am. Why?

They have no real scientific credibility. They force polypharmacy in pain patients while it's well documented that even anitdepressants increase the side effects of opioids but at the same time ban benzo adjuvants despite having the same evidence of respiratory depression as with concomminant gabapentinoid use (pregabalin and gabapentin)
