Man, my absolute very favorite song from one of my favorite albums of the 90s. This song was on super heavy rotation when it dropped. I was 17 yrs old and in love with their lead singer too. Beautiful voice over beautiful jazzy funk arrangements. I can stay young forever listening to this song.
Also... it was great to be in your early 20s and hearing this and loving it back in 1991! Good times ;)
Man their first 2 albums were such a vibe thanks to N’dea Davenport’s vocals. After she left the group their music just didn’t have the same vibe. Do a reaction for their song “Never Stop” it was their first single.
Agreed they're not the same without N'Dea
Catching this reaction video two years later - thanks! All I can say is.... must listen to this with some heavy duty over-ear headphones, an amazing experience! Also... love your channel's title card intro clip ;)
The vocals are what hooked me the first time I heard this song, just so smooth, soulful and melodic.
Ohh how i miss the 90s Acid Jazz scene the follow on from the early 80s U.k jazz funk / Brit Funk and Street Soul scene if you like this checkout Hi Tension especially one of my favs There,s a reason from 1979... Its such a fab track don,t miss it bro... Believe... Also Sahara... Love so fine... Projection... Love Struck... Funkmasters... Its over...Freeez... Southern Freeze... Also checkout a modern jazz / soul outfit called... The Sunburst Band... A track Called... Everyday... From their album... Till the end of time... peace young bro us Brits in our day could be as good as the states in our own way and our own production stylee... keep the land of the good groove going... Teach the yutte them...
My favorite by Brand New Heavies! When they had my girl N'Dea Davenport on lead vocals they had the best sound in my opinion.
Probably the best UK 🇬🇧 Funky Soul group to come out! All there songs 🎵 and albums are dope, Man!
First time hearing this. Thank you. Gives me a Loose Ends, Vertical Hold, Vesta, Dina Carroll type of vibe, which is definitely a good thing.
A great band. Saw them live at the old Wembley Stadium supporting Simply Red. I only went to see the Brand New Heavies, wasn't disappointed. The drummer from this band had a group called MF Robots and they had an album out about 3 years ago. Great song from them called Come on with the Good Thing.
Their song 1990 song "Never Stop" is the jam! definitely worth checking out.
Always Love This ... They were a band from the UK and doing collab with Rappers Guru * Grand Puba * Masta Ace
Come on lets dance !!!!! The Brand New heavies ...beautiful músic 😎👍👍👍♥️♥️♥️☀️☀️☀️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
The singer is N'Dea Davenport. She later left the group.
Love this band ❤
That song takes you on a journey!!!
BNH are the essence of Acid Jazz. They made the 90's hella lot more listenable!
if you wanna explore acid jazz..start with the trifecta of that genre...BNH, Jamiroquai & Incognito.
Man I love this song. One of their best in my opinion, although they have lots of good vibe music.
"Trunk Funk" is how they describe their music.
This was my record back in the day N'dea Davenport could really blow. This brings back good memories 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾. The Brand New Heavies a great band
There are so many versions of this track. Try and check them out, each one is like choosing from a garage full of different coloured Lambos.
Wish you had used the video. Never Stop was another great jam from the same album. The lead singer, N'Dea Davenport is great.
Super groowe divin cette jolie voix féminine et ses musiciens donne de la beauté d'artiste au coeur et du Pep's lil
Fun fact: uk groups like the Heavies and Jamiroquai are heavily influenced by the american funk-jazz legend Donald Byrd. Listen to a few of his song and you'll hear his style in their music. Also he's highly sampled, a good start is "Think Twice" ! And what's even more trippy you just reacted to a song from his early group "The Blackbyrds" but his solo joints are the songs most bands like The Brand New Heavies get their there style from.
Divine Apex Productions Don’t forget Roy Aires and Gill Scott Heron as influences too
Jamiroquai's lead singer Jason Kay auditioned for the lead of the Brand News Heavies. So glad he didn't get it. . .we probably would have never been blessed to hear N'Dea's beautiful voice or the great music that Jamiroquai has brought us!
My favorite song by them was "Dream Come True".... very underated 90s group...as i said when you reacted to them before their style of dress especially N'Dea reminded me of 60s/70s super group The 5th Dimension....btw...lol since you digging in the crates and doing the Beatles you can surely react to some 60s r&b and the 5th Dimension along with MANY others would be a great start....remember this black artists have been the INNOVATERS and trend setters in music since the beginning of time and EVERY decade white artist have either copied or plagerized our music....some have paid homage and respect to black music and they were mainly english artists
I always saw them as the 90s version of Rufus.
Wow I never heard this. Man where has the soul in music gone?.
The Corporate controllers killed it!
@@djjerome true
They've got a dope song called "Bonafide Funk" featuring Main Source.
Love that cd. Live music and rap
You Must Listen To Their Biggest Hit Never Stop 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
There’s another version of this song which is similar to this but smoother..if you can imagine that but this is a beautiful song!
The David Morales mix is really good
If you like jazz but still some funk i got a group for you. Pleasure (glide, sassafras girl and joy.) Great band
Wonderful músic sensational beautiful !!! I Love It 😎👍👍👍♥️♥️♥️🌎
Awesome classic
The album Heavy Rhyme Experience is amazing.

Easily one of the best songs from the 90s!!!!! I could hit LIKE a million times and it wouldn’t be enough! Saw Brand New Heavies with N’Dea Davenport perform live several times in ATL and they brought the HOUSE DOWN each time with this cut!!!!
Ain't that something 🤭
Check another uk soul group D-INFLUENCE you won't be disappointed
