The Surgical Technologist is a critical member of the patient care team, responsible for a wide variety of duties, including preparing the patient for surgery, assisting the surgeon and other operating room personnel. The Surgical Technology Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree is designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to participate effectively in the perioperative environment.

Used to be a Surgical Tech but I decided to move onto RN school. What I love is that if I get bored of the OR, I still have other options. 💪🏼 When you’re a Surgical Tech, your job is limited. Doesn’t make it a bad job because it’s exciting, it’s just something to consider. 😁😁
