THE GOVERNMENT IS NOT BANNING STOVE, WOOD OR SMOKELESS FUELS. Some media slogans are misleading homeowners. Here is a link to Burnright l mentioned in this video. www.Burnright.co.uk
I'm so angry!!!! The thing is I'm all for saving the environment we have a defra approved stove we buy smokeless multi fuel coal but really! !! When they stop all the planes going through the sky maybe then we should think about what we burn. They (the government ) should be picking on the big corporations not us little folk trying to stay warm.!! Rant over sorry😕
@Jack Striker you are right, but smart meters are only to frighten you into believing your using too much electricity. I can't understand why it's always the little people that pay the price and the fat cats sit laughing at us!!!
That’s what I’ve got the meter I think it was 16 quid from Toolstation. If you burn wet wood the fire burns all it own energy. As this guys says about wet wood. Thank you i
First of all, great informative video for a lot of people as there is a lot of bad press out there about burning wood and coal. My wife and I have had solid fuel for years, 34 to be precise, we burn anthracite and I can’t recommend getting a proper chimney sweep to sweep your chimney. There is a lot of chancers out there, I’ve heard about them and I know some people who have went for a cheap sweep, big mistake. Everything that you have said is true, if used correctly, a stove is beautiful, gives a great heat and if your like us, lots and lots of hot water.
I love house coal. I feel like this rule can be skirted around, though. The way it's worded, would appear to be that they're banning the SALE of house coal, and so we might get away with still using it, provided we have it shipped from another country
Hi Renaissance Ear-Candy Some may find loopholes in most things if you look hard enough. I would ask that you just take it at face value not to use it. If you use house coal in a stove you could find that your stove at some time, could just go bang and crack. I'm no eco-warrior just a Grandad trying to look after my grandchildren.
@@paulR505 its gas centralheating that worse for peoples health, there,s more kids using inhaler,s now than there ever was, with a coal fire etc, the fire needs oxygen to burn,so the chimney draws air in from wherever it can,so taking stale air out of the home & replacing it with fresh air, with gascentral heating the air is just staggnent,no wonder people have breathing difficultys these days, which was rare when everyone had open fires, stoves etc,i,ve never lived without an open fire,& i will continue to live with one
hi paul thanks just payed 150 euro been burning wet wood took the sweep 3 hours he removed 3 five gallon buckets of hard hard soot i also burn a lot of turf / pet we have a lot of this i ireland tought i might share this with you thanks for all your video's
Hi Neil I'm in Hemel this Monday if that's any good. Give me a call and we can sort a time and date if this is not convenient. Kind regards Paul Ross 07957264254
My answer can only be, how long is a peace of string. It's not how much it costs but will they give you the correct information and be professional in their actions. What the first part of your post code and l will find a good sweep, that's far better than a cheap one and day. Kind regards Paul Ross
Hi Maz, I clean wood stove chimneys, but I give a full service as well. Remove all fire bricks, baffle, “ throat plate “ grate and vacuum the whole inside, then put the brush up the flue 4 times, vacuum again, clean the glass and replace everything, wipe the stove with a cloth, and vacuum the hearth. £ 55 .00 within 10 miles, or £ 60.00 up to 20 miles away.
It's funny that the ones dictating the rules on emissions of any sort all have private jets and big luxury cars. Wonder how many of them have luxurious country estates and big roaring fires.
thanks Mate, my Mum and Dad still have a coal fire at home and they love it , they dont want central heating and I fully support them in their wish.
Better cancel bonfire night then.

Are they banning smokeless coal I've got a multi-fuel stove
So no more bonfires or barbecues?
Better to freeze to death

Where abouts are you in the country?
What about rubber tyres and plastic lol
Alas "No".
Kind regards

Yeah I'm sure a few 1000 people burning wet wood damages the world more than millions of cars ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
