Two of the most beautiful voices that have walked on this planet. A duet like this has never happened since and that is because as of right now we simply don't have 2 female artists at this level. Sure, Kelly Clarkson, Ariana Grande, Christina Aguilera, Tony Braxton, Florence Welch, Demi Lovato (sometimes), Jojo or Tory Kelly to name a few are great singers, but when you compare them to the Vocal Trinity (Celine Dion The Queen of power ballads , Mariah Carey The Songbird Supreme and Whitney Houston The voice) they all come out short. Singing requires technique, and there is no one technique,there are several different ones that are healthy. Let's use Mariah for example since she is part of this song, her vocal range live goes from an F2 all the way to a Bb7, that's 5 octaves a 2 semitones meaning she can go significantly higher than everybody but the thing is that she can sing also lower than almost everybody. She hands down is the Queen of coloring a song, using insane transitions between register to access a breathy voice mid word, she is so agile that she can sing the word camomile for 3xample, so she can sing camou- In a more round sound or with a fuller voice and the. She would sing -flage In a breathy tone, a beautiful falsetto. Is hard to transition between register mid words but is preposterous the fact that she does it perfectly mid syllable 🤯,se has done octave jumps from chest voice to the top of her whistle. She can sing everything anywhere on he range, she can flip to falsetto, than back to chest, start a sustained belt ti.ting her Cricoid cartilage and then ease into vibratto tilting her Thyroid cartilage, engage her head voice for a mixed sound and straight into whistle where she can actually sing understandable lyrics on whistle and have vibratto e gaging her Thyroid cartilage

@@GalaxyNexus1 She was whistling 100%, that’s a fact. But the sound was put in the background so it’s not as easy to hear if you ain’t paying attention. Whistling is also part of singing, it’s the highest octave of the human voice and it’s a technique.

American are good singer in the world no doubt about that, but Filipino are good imitator.
I didn't appreciate this song because I wished they sang together when Mariah was in her Emotions Era and Whitney in her ...well early 90's Era (cuz she was great no matter what year from 80s to early 90s). Their tones would have be on fire. I felt Mariah's voice was truly losing the quality that I once loved by the time they recorded. Her nodules were starting to really show. I could not defend when Whitney fans used to say she destroyed Mariah on here. Well....she did if you wanted Mariah to sing in her early years which was reminiscent of Whitney's tone. But now listening w/o my wish list....I appreciate the beauty, humility and confidence Mariah displays in her choice of whispy, raspy tones. She didn't want to sound like Whitney, she wanted to complement her. She didn't compete, she blended like any pro should. Rare to find that humility in a talent such as hers against a talent as intimidating as Whitney's. Both are the best
Whiteny never destroyed Mariah, because she was not at her best vocal moment, which was 1992, but Whitney could never compete with Mariah's unmatched angelic tone, nor her vocal nuances, Whiteny is just power, Mariah goes far beyond that, in this song and in any, nobody can match it.
