omg this video is just what i needed! my test is in a week! i went to International school of beauty in Palm Desert CA. i would say it’s the best around me but they still really need to work on their manicurist program, definitely not a school for someone who doesn’t have a background in nails already, The teachers there are so nice, but most of their attention is on the cosmo students. i just went there to get my hours and get out LOL!

How was it in palmdesert , i live in yucca valley i had joined a nail class in victorville with rizo nails but its oviesly not the same as school 🥺❤
I think no matter where you go, it’s most important to complete your hours, and study your provided books. Test yourself through the milady chapters and you’ll be just fine 👍🏽

I went to a beauty school in Lancaster, California called Lancaster Beauty School… and I had the same experience!!!!!! No one helped us but one teacher…. We were teaching each other and CZcams…. Glad I wasn’t the only one

Wow it’s like we all have this universal nail experience I literally had this all happen to me to a T all the way to the point all the teachers were MIA clocking out my 400 hrs a very sad moment but I didn’t let that discourage my dreams!! Similar obstacles but overall the school is “good”. Thank you for sharing the books you and your school used, and thanks for the chapter links, our school uses an older Milady nail tech book. And won’t get the newer edition books. But after seeing you I’m going to just get the new 8th edition. You’re so inspiring! Keep doing it! Looking forward to one day taking your class! Omg I am so elated that you took the time to watch and I appreciate the feedback so so much! I really truly hope this video is helpful!! Getting the updated book doesn’t hurt anybody! And the foundations book is very helpful for those who don’t know a thing about the beauty business.
I’m starting to get more messages about school conditions around the US , unfortunately some are run so badly and just taking peoples money 😫 and it’s heartbreaking!
But I really do hope that this video brings a little light to the end of the tunnel .
My classmates have also said the test was not bad at all thanks to reviewing the milady book. Of course education must be continued afterwards, our skills could always use more help and practice. I'm so glad I found this video! I just started nail school and I have all the same feelings that you do 100%!
I've been telling my husband about school and how things are and we both are just like "I wish I could open up my own business and really get in there and help girls learn"! I am also very eager to just learn everything I don't know and help others learn what I already know. I've been doing nails a little over a year and specialize with hard gel. So learning acrylic is very different for me but I think I'm doing alright.
I'm attending CEN Beauty Academy in Riverside, so far my experience has been great. I enjoy the atmosphere and I'm grateful of having that time to just sit there, practice and learn more! There's only 7 other girls in my night class and I'm actually thinking about teaching them how to use hard gel myself. Our instructor mostly just sits at her desk while we all practice doing whatever we want, but I want more out of it so if that means getting in there and learning from each other then that's what I'm going to do! My instructor is very nice and friendly, I like to bring up things I'm thinking about on a certain subject and we will have a discussion about it, so I've been kind of forcing everyone to break from their shell to join in that way we learn from each other. I think it's really helping us all quite a lot, it's eye opening!
Anyway, I appreciate your video and sharing your your experience with the world!

I really needed this😩 Im in nail school in San Diego CA but they only speak vietnamese, so ive been in my head overthinking that im not gonna be able to do this im scared im not going to pass and just waste money I have no idea what theyre saying or how to study but this video really helped

This is the first video I’m watching of yours! Im very passionate with what I do. My father always told me when I was growing up, “No matter what you do as a job, you do your BEST”. I started working with gel and acrylic this year 🙌🏻 I work on myself and a few family members. A lot of people say not to go to school because it’s a waste of money but it’s the basic knowledge, the anatomy of a nail, diseases. I’m a stay at home mom right now, so my life is motherhood but once I get the chance I’m going for my license 🙌🏻

Congratulations on being a new mom, I understand I have a two year old that acts like he’s 13. He wants to grow up so fast already lol. Anyways, please go to school even part time as soon as you can, it’s illegal to practice without a license depending on the state you’re in, I don’t want you or anyone else getting into trouble. (Lawsuits very bad) Good luck on your journey!! I’m looking into nail tech schools in San Diego, California ❤

Yea, there’s so much work to be done to make future beauty school experiences better. I’m hoping it inspires others, that if they do choose to go that route, that they implement positive change to the industry .

I just started this month. I am 39 and the only other person in my class is 17. The teacher is my age.
I love this. I am 36 and just started today-all the other students are younger than I am. It’s refreshing to know people our age are pursuing what they love. 😊

It took about 6 weeks others 8 , but the time will move quickly 🤗
Barely watching this while studying to retake my exam in Cali . Just when I took the exam I aced the disinfectant part but nail analysis was so skipped on and that’s where I failed cause the clas I was in didn’t cover much or we started over due to new students

Like she literally said she dnt like the smell of momamor😮. Like this is a nail school right ? I'm jus glad I didn't pay all the money up front. Not really feeling this school . It's basically like a self teach school . I feel like I didn't sign up with money to teach myself

Was it expensive?
Schools vary in pricing. The one I went to was around 3300 also you’ll have to buy supplies of your own after using all of the supplies given to you at school. But you shouldn’t be using your own supply to service a customer. The school should be supplying you with that
