I passed my practical 2 days ago because of this video 🤍🤍 I'm getting my license now!!!! I'm in ATL GA! As of right now, only difference was we did 4 marcel on top of head, a whole quadrant for virgin relaxer and we stood for facial.

in atl did you have to bring all your own supplies and labeled bag?
@@leviosa7077 you can always buy a pre made kit but you must pack it according to how the test goes with everything labeled and unopened. The carrying bag of all supplies should be unmarked.

I must have watched this video 10 times over the last month. It helped me organize my thoughts and have more structure than what was taught to me at school. Happy to report that I passed my test in GA using this video. The main difference (I found) was during the chemical portion: you will have to do a whole quadrant for RELAXER. I did not pack enough because she only does one slice. Good LUCK!

Every step in this video , is it like that for state board? I passed my written in Macon ga, but I was an apprentice at a salon so I did no schooling just bookstudying from home , I take my practical soon.

sofibvlogs Blogs honestly it was allot easier than I expected. My advice would be to try not to overthink anything just do as you where taught and remember to sanitize!! I honestly just watched videos like this one and kinda went over some vocabulary but that’s about it

Hi Mrs. Evelyn. Thank you so much all the way from NC. I just took my practical today after being out of this industry nearly 20 years. I feel really good about it. Tips for NC:
After chemical services that are performed actually like Mrs. Evelyn shows you will perform:
Blood borne exposure
Tweezing
Waxing
Please drape your mannequin head for tweezing and waxing
Sanitize your hands before every individual grade even when the examiner asks for the comb to check the hair cut
If you order a kit double check it for all needed items and ensure that you can open each container because mine were taped.

I want to thank ms.Evelyn for this. My school had a whole change due to covid and some teachers worked from home. This truly help me understand what I did wrong after I failed twice. I put it off for almost a year and i finally took the leap of faith. I passed my practical with an 87 Dec. 6TH and I have submitted for my application for my license yesterday. I’d like to thank Ms. Evelyn and people who took their time to make this video. I passed my practical in TN. For those in TN who are looking for some clues (like I was): 1/ go over your psi candidates bulletin for your state. 2/ in TN, blow drying and thermal curling is the last topic for hair, so I prepared another doll head for this. 3/ I don’t have the best technique but like Ms. Evelyn said, you’ll pass as long as you follow safety control procedures. I’m in TN too and taking mine soon. How was your experience? The TN psi guidelines says 10 minutes to cut the hair with shear and 5 minutes with razor so I don’t know if I can even finish cutting 2 sections in 10 mins

I used your haircut technique to do my state board cut and passed in Washington (June of 2021) 😊 I visualized all my sections being split Into thirds with the sections being; nape to occipital - occipital to crown - crown to front hairline. Dropped my razor and still made my time lol thank you so much for Sharing

Thank you so much for this video!i graduated last yr July of 2000, my stateboard was supposed to be Dec 8 but it got canceled due to pandemic, then my next was supposed to be January 5 but it got canceled again because of the extension of the pandemic.then i got a letter less than a week for my stateboard Feb. 23 and i pass my written and practical in 1 shot!This video is super helpful so i told my friends to watch this video coz i know this will help them a lot.Super easy to watch and do at the same time especially for people who are visual learner. @@LifeAsQuanE this video and PSI practice test really helped me! There is also an app called “Cosmetology Exam Center” it’s $10 a month but I only used it for that one month. I talked about it on my tiktok @xiansspam if you want to check it out. I talked about what I used to pass both test.

@@ThuNguyen-mj9sk I also watched some videos from nail techs to see how to properly put on a nail form. I think you will be fine. Just know the test proctors are intense and loud and slam stuff around and don’t let it make you nervous

@@ThuNguyen-mj9sk also renting the kit helped me a lot. My teacher encouraged us to bring our own kit but renting helped me a lot because I knew I had to use everything in it. I also dropped a lot of stuff but I picked it up and threw it away and sanitized my hands

Thank you so much for this video. I passed my test in Washington state after going to school during Covid (mostly online classes/hours) and waiting a year to take my tests because I was so afraid to fail. Again, thank you so much for this video, if it wasn’t for finding this I wouldn’t have even take my state boards out of fear of not knowing what to do or what’s next.
I moved states and my practical exam won't count in my new state. I've been licensed for 11 years and haven't ever worked in a salon. I have to re take the state board practical in my new state and I will use your video for studying! It's incredible, thank you from the bottom of my heart for this informative video and for the other one!!!

I took my test in 2013 and I did not do half of the stuff. I kept renewing my license through the classes but did not pay TDLR because I was not aware and now I have to do this all over after 10 years. This is crazy

I'm finally ready to take my practical.....coming from already being licensed and having to take a practical scared me off honestly, since I didn't even learn facial or nail care at school and my state doesn't require a practical, I def forgot a lot of stuff. lol I'm going to purchase my supplies soon and I'll come back to update.
Did you know that some states cosmetology board has eliminate taking the Practical Exam!!! All you need besides your Class Hours is to passed the written and no more practical to get your license. I know California, Illinois and Florida no longer requires the Practical. This needs to be passed in all states.

I'm so excited to complete my Master Cosmetology journey by getting my licensure. I've been out of school for the past 3 years, I took the written portion of the exam right after I graduated but didn't do the practical part.
Did anyone purchase a full Georgia State Board Kit? If so, where did you purchase from?

I’m coming from FL already licensed to transfer to GA . Honestly after purchasing everything individually I wish I had known about the full kits… it would have made the whole process of preparing 100% easier… testing 4/13/22 🤞

The barbicide spray is no longer prohibited. You have to replace it with barbicide wipes. And for the color portion, you have to transfer the color, highlight and relaxer product into other containers. Treat it like a back bar. So you will have 3 extra empty containers to transfer it into
