That belt you have on,,could have wrapped it around the pto shaft over lapping itself about 4wraps,,would have pull started it easy,,,,but with that kit you have I don’t think you can see the shaft,,,worked on my go devil,,since went to electric start,,
I had the exact same thing happened to me about five miles down river no cell phone service nothing my pull cord broke and so I drug my boat into the side of the forest and walked back home and 3 days later I walked back to my boat with a lawn and garden battery hooked it right up started it up and went back home I will never take a long tail Mud Motor out without electric start again let this be a warning to everyone of you.

If you ever rip out a pull cord when your on the water, take your role and tie it to your propeler to pull start it
Your supposed to recoil the spring
You need a small trolling motor and lawn mower battery. Great for times like this.
