It's finally happening... the artist urge to get a tattoo. I never thought it would happen, yet here we are. I'm going to keep doodling different tattoo ideas until I get that "HELL YEAH" moment. I think I'm onto something, but not quite there!

Finally something I know about! So! I am a tattoo artist and what can I say, I am tattooed feet to neck. As cute ants tattoo is, is shouldn’t be too invasive for your skin but oh god, extra nasty to heal. Because tattoos are all in all pretty wounds, they need to heal and they ITCH AS HELL. And yes, having bugs (especially believeable size) makes you paranoid there is something walking on you. I have few bugs on my chest and I need to remind myself that it’s just a tattoo

i have ants on my arm like she drew, they healed really well actually! my least itchy tattoo :~) but i'm not trying to discredit you, every person is different!!!
You sould definitely get one of those Inkbox freehand temporary tattoo kits and draw these on for real!
the fun thing about black outline tattoos is that you can temporarily colour them in with markers any time you feel like. different colours to match outfits or your mood and such

i am a tattoo artist, and I wanna say that I have seen the ant tattoo done before on a leg! the only issue is if it gets too small; ink expands under the skin and something as small as an ant or sparkle will turn more circular and blobular
It all starts with a simple MEOW LIFE finger tattoo. Then the kitty face tattoo to match. Before you know it Kasey will have gone full Black Alien.

The second one reminded me of a professor of evolutionary ecology that I had in college. She had a sweater with a line of broided ants making a path around her. It was so cool!
I love the design, but I definitely would rather it be a sweater like that. I go into the woods too often to have to doublecheck if my tattoo is a tick lol
There's a metal work jewellery maker that does necklaces that looks like a tangle of worms and worm earrings. They're quite realistic compared with your style but remind me of you (also worm earrings in your style made from clay or something would be very cute)

For the ant design it would be fun if you just did a sleeve and had like a whole bunch of cute sweets/ treats on your deltoid that the ants were marching too😁

Kasey, I might be suggesting something very obvious, but how about Hatch for a tattoo? I think he'd make a super cute tattoo.
As a Tattoo Artist, these are very fun and creative, I know many tattoo artists that would love to do them hahaha
In all seriousness, I'd recommend starting small so you don't have to commit to a big tattoo and risk not finishing it. (Or at maybe a small piece that can be built upon.)
The top of the arm is a a good place for lots of people, pain isn't too bad. Places like the neck, backs of joints and overall, not very squishy places like hands and feet can be more painful. But it depends on the person 😊

Also I don't suggest getting a tattoo over joints. Especially for your first one. You will regret how much they hurt.

I love the worms above colorful shapes. There's definitely something there that just works as a tattoo.

I have a lot of tattoos, my last one was in February as a memorial for all my lost loved ones. It's a viking ghost ship with lanterns from tangled, in blue mist.

Tattoo 101: (from my experience)
- the smaller the tattoo, the less detail you're gonna see, so keep it simple
-think about where you want the tattoo on your body because location often limits what kind and size you'll get. Also there are many painful areas to get tattooed that I wouldn't recommend to people getting their first tattoo.
- it's going to itch while it's healing and you're not allowed to scratch
-think about what color you want your tattoo to be. Black is by far the easiest to get tattooed, many colors take more passes over the same area to be saturated and not look patchy
-think about it really well because cover-ups and removal are wayyy more expensive than the initial tattoo and often times so much more painful.
-if you don't like the stencil on your body, you won't like the finished tattoo. Practice good communication with your tattoo artist to prevent any misunderstandings.
-research the tattoo artist and see if they're good at the style that you want your tattoo to be in. Most specialize in a specific style and therefore tattoo that the most.
-don't expect it to be cheap. Actually, it would be suspicious if it were cheap because good artists know the value of their work and price it accordingly with an hourly rate.
-also a little bonus, if you have no idea about tattoos, styles and whatever, ink master is a pretty entertaining show. It helped me in many ways and I learned a lot about tattoos that I wouldn't have thought to inform myself about before getting a tattoo.

My first tattoo and only tattoo so far is a chamomile flower that I got while on a bachelorette party trip. Been wondering what I should get next. Thanks to this awesome inspo, next time you see me I'll be living that meow life 😸

Awesome work, Kase!! Next time, do the practice tats with a greenish hint. All my black tattoos eventually faded into a bit of a green color. And we have very similar skin color and type. Then it might appear kinda like an actual tattoo??? Maybe. Anyway. You’re always such an inspiration for an old timey artist 🙏🏻
I have an actual ant tattoo. 😅 It stands for Automatic Negative Thoughs (1 ant comes along and before you know it, hundreds do)- I had therapy. But I love my little guy. Have loads more tattoos now and it's the one people always ask about x

The marching ant army tattoo reminded me of that song “the ants go marching” it wasn’t horrifying in the least if it had been cockroaches that would have been horrifying.
Oddly really liked the ant trail. You could just have a band of ants around your upper arm and maybe like a bracelet.
