Pro tips for anyone doing this at home.
    1) don’t stir the sugar
    2) once the sugar gets to temp turn off your heat and move quickly.
Your sugar should be browning around the sides. If your sugar isn’t hot enough you’ll make a layer of sugar so thick you won’t be able to chew it.
Also after you drip the sticks into the sugar you can spin some of the sugar off.
Trust me the thinner your sugar is the better the fruit will be. Good luck!

I used to make fruit kebabs to take as a share platter when my daughter was at Brownies etc. Made them with a marshmallow between each piece of fruit to keep the cost lower. They look amazing, are easy to eat and, EVERYONE loved them. Bonus, they're gluten free too. 😊

Tanghulu is best with a really tart fruit. It’s traditionally made with hawthorn berries, which can be hard to find in Western countries/markets, so cranberries are a good substitute. Of course, you can make it like Chef did with other fruits, but hawthorn berries are traditional 😊
