Tanguhulu 冰糖葫蘆 in gr and cups:
    - 300 gr Sugar ( 1 1/2 cups)
    - 50 gr Water ( 3 tbsp)
    - 2 tbsp Honey
    - Red Food Coloring ( optional )
    - Strawberries
NOTE: Allow to sit for 10 minutes to harden and enjoy right away! These are meant to be eaten right away.
Tanghulu is a traditional Chinese treat consisting of fruits coated in hardened caramel. It's delicious! And you can use any fruit you prefer!
NOTE: If you don't have a thermomether bring the sugar mixture to a slight amber color, as shown in the video ( hard caramel ). You can also test the candy by dropping it in some cold water. If it hardens it's ready. I personally don't recommend this method though as caramel can be dangerous and it's best not to mess with.
    Enjoy!

You and a substitute teacher at my school are the same. He tried to make toast once but the toaster broke. He tried to bake for his girlfriend once, it swelled and exploded like a chestburster. He tried to make scrambled eggs once, they caught fire somehow.
He only told me this when I told him I made perfect scrambled eggs yesterday
Edit: you have to love the substitutes that you can hang out with as friends.... quite possibly because I’m one of the most mature at school ahah

Selina Kidane, my stove broke so I used a microwave. I usually use half the ingredients needed and I put the mixture in s mug for about 5 minuets, but I usually open the microwave to check if it is almost ready. However, cleaning the mug is the hard part.

This recipe is Flawless but things i would recommend with my experience are these.
    1. the candy hardens quickly so put the heat on really little and that way you have time to dip fruits.
    2. if you dont have parchment paper i used chopsticks you can use forks/spoons/butterknifes too. You put 2 of them on a plate and then put fruits on top for me i had apples so it was much easier.
    3. After dipping fruits in the pan WILL be covered with hard candy. Put boiled water inside the pan wait for it about 10-15 minutes. thats it, it cleans itself because sugar dissolves in hot water.
    4. If you dont have temperature stick (i dont have it) take a cup of water cold/warm water and when you put a drop of your mixture in it should fall hardened, it shouldn’t dissolve in water
I hope this helped if any questions please reply.
