- The latest SMG4 episode, Mario The Exploro, has brought back Mr Puzzles already?? (as well as the puzzlevision series?)

Hey all, No Null here. In the latest SMG4 episode, Mario the Exploro, Mr Puzzles has suddenly returned to the series after only a month since his defeat in the Puzzlevision movie. This return was just as out of left field as that community post SMG4 released shortly after the puzzlevision movie came out which teased that Mr Puzzles may return. This community post, as well as a later post, were the only hints we got towards a possible return of mr puzzles, and while I did take this as solid confirmation he would return eventually later this year considering mr puzzles’ popularity, I definitely did not expect his return to be so soon and in a stand alone episode of all things. I am happy he’s back because i do really like his character, but i would be lying if i said this return wasn’t a little underwhelming due to a lack of build up to it and there being no big event or story to accompany his return, as well as him being treated as a joke when he returned properly at the end of the episode, though admittedly that ending scene was entertaining and rather funny. But while mr puzzles’ return did feel somewhat similarly underwhelming to his defeat in the puzzlevision movie, there are some pretty interesting details in this episode to theorise about.
So firstly, this episode was added to the puzzlevision playlist and so is a part of that series as well as the main smg4 series. As a side note, it was due to this video being added to the puzzlevision playlist a few hours before it was released that a lot of us knew mr puzzles would be returning in this episode. Anyways, mr puzzles claims that he wants to transform the SMG4 show into many different TV shows like the Dora the explorer parody of this episode and the parodies of the previous puzzlevision episodes. This, alongside a line said by Mario where he wonders if these TV parodies will become a common recurrence, makes me believe that the puzzlevision series will become a side series on the channel like remastered 64. This is backed up by mr puzzles implying he has other TV show parody ideas, as well as when SMG4 stated that he wanted to make more parodies in the future, though I didn’t realise that what he meant by this was to continue making episodes for the puzzlevision series.
So it appears that mr puzzles will indeed be taking on a role similar to smg3 before the You tube arc, as i theorised previously, where he will be a recurring antagonist in multiple episodes, though instead of carrying out some evil plot he will force the smg4 cast to perform in one of his parodies. But we got a hint that mr puzzles may not just be a minor antagonist from now on, as he slips up at one point and reveals that he wants to take over the smg4 channel directly rather than to create his own tv show, as was his original goal, since he failed to maintain his 5 star show in the movie, and assumedly the smg4 show may still be at 5 and a half stars ratings, and so he views taking over the smg4 series as an easier goal in order to achieve his dream of running the best show ever. This slip up by mr puzzles also shows that he is still not to be trusted, as he has not been redeemed nor regrets his antagonistic actions like SMG3 did.
This is largely all we have to theorise about for now, as it's anyone's guess as to what mr puzzles’ plan to take over the smg4 show may entail, though a safe guess is that it may involve the meme games or wotfi 2024. Perhaps it could even involve the boarded up door or clench, though I'm still currently leaning on the side of those two plot threads being unn related to mr puzzles, though if those plot threads lead to the next arc, then perhaps mr puzzles could get involved in progressing those stories, like how he manipulated events in 2023, but i doubt he would have any connection to the origins of clench and the door.
As a bonus, I noticed a small detail from this episode that is rather interesting. When Mario and SMG4 leave Mr Puzzles head and the Dora the explorer parody, they interestingly don’t leave through the TV screen, like how they entered it. Rather, they come out of one of those TV portals that the crew travelled through to reach different TV channels during the puzzlevision movie. So could Mario and SMG4 still be trapped within Mr Puzzles’ head, having only traveled to a different TV channel rather than leaving his head? No, they almost certainly aren’t still trapped, this was just an out there idea i had. Thanks for watching, and by the way, mr puzzles' return hasn't really contradicted anything with my mr puzzles origin story animation, so that should still release later this month. - Hry

Yeah I really didn’t expect Mr.Puzzles to return this soon. Part of me thought it would be months before we’d see him again like Zero.
Then again people liked Mr puzzles way more then Niles so they probably brought him back because of the fact everyone loved him

the line hinting at it being a reoccurring thing makes me think puzzles will now just sometimes do normal parody episodes but not be a part of the next arcs but its still possible

I just hope Mr. Puzzles will become a main/recurring villain in the series.
Or maybe he'll probably become a recurring side character like Kaizo did after the meme games.
It would be nice for him to be a good guy this time, it could happen maybe, but we’ll have to wait and see for more to come, but Mr. Puzzles is my favorite character, so I would love to see more of him to try and get along with the crew, but we’ll leave the decision to SMG4 to know what they have in store for him.

Not to be rude or anything, but I felt like his return was kinda rushed as well. As in he didn’t fully make up for how much he affected the SMG4 crew. However I believe it was probably an interesting decision since him not realising how he affects other people is possibly a part of his character, like he didn’t really apologise about affecting SMG4 or even Meggy, instead just talked about how he “gave up the 5-star facade”. But also I think this is a hint on him being probably a reoccurring villain or something leading up to this year’s WOTFI, since him saying “taking over the SMG4 channel” is very VERY sus.
Also I think the idea of Maryo and SMG4 being trapped in the TV still is also believable, like sure it could be an animation mistake, but its still sus that they exited throughout the screen instead of Puzzles’ actual head.
I wonder if Mr. Puzzles will stay fully voice acted or shift over to the usual "Pre recorded voice lines that don't have to match up with what the character is saying" and this was just due to it being his return episode.
This might be the case, since the voice actor of Mr Puzzles is not as Close with The Real Life smg4/Luke as SMG3/James Is

Sure, maybe Mr.Puzzles’ return was a bit too quick than most other Smg4 villains. But Smg4 puts a lot of effort into his videos, and maybe he has some big plans for Mr.Puzzles as a character, seeing he has lots of potential. I’m honestly stoked to see him return! Who knows what Smg4 has in store for us! ⭐️ 🌟 💫🤩❤️🔥

Also, I have a theory:
I think Mr. Puzzles created The Showgrounds, if you guys think this is stupid just hear me out.
After SMG4 was unpossessed and lost the old castle, Mr. Puzzles needed them to stay somewhere for new castle for him to control his next plan, so he made the Showgrounds for The SMG4 Crew to stay at with his powers if you still know from the movie, because if you probably didn't know back in Our New Home nobody knew where the Showgrounds came from and how it was made, and it's no joke why it's called the SHOWgrounds and why that PV Logo was next to it, So after the Castle was built Mr. Puzzles decided to hide under the basement until his next plan start.
And that my theory of why Mr. Puzzles created the Showgrounds.

That makes sense. The name alone hints it too. He basically used the showgrounds as a way to spy on them and control their every moves. I even believe the showgrounds are a controlled environment

Im so glad that he is a recurring antagonist instead of becoming a part of the smg4 crew because at this point it might as well only include mario, smg4, smg3, and meggy because those are the only ones in the spotlight.

Yeah like meggy hasn’t had an important role since like western spaghetti or something same with saiko she hasn’t had her own episode in so long also bob hasn’t had anything important to do besides illegal stuff he does like most episodes are just Mario smg3 smg4 as the stars or just some random side characters thrown in like the episode Mario goes on death row which was the first episode where melony actually does something and they pair her with Chris or swag(they are hard to tell apart) of all characters.
I imagine that Mr. Puzzles' future story will be a bit the same as in Smg3, he will be the antagonist in WOTFI 2024 who wants to dominate the world, but he will be defeated in the end and at some points in future episodes, he will ends up redeeming himself and will join the Smg4 team. I know this may be repetitive and that he did unforgivable things, I admit it, but I really like this character, he is very charismatic and I believe he has a lot of potential to become more than he has shown himself to be recently. Mr. Puzzles is one of my favorite characters who will always be in my heart.

I went to marios wiki page and i saw some things
It seems like that mario actually enjoys mr.puzzles shows, and he also has a slight TV obsession just like mr.puzzles
And when i looked at his goals, it was shown that it was MARIOS PLAN to resume mr.puzzles back to watch his Teletubbies show that got interrupted.
So basically, it was NO accident, mario did it on purpose on bringing him back, but as we saw his expression,it seemed like as if he wasnt expecting him to be alive at all.
So my theory is that Mario can have some sort of connection to mr.puzzles in the future videos which may either lead to the closed secret door or to the unfinished upstairs, which could be also WOFTI 2024 or another movie. But my highest guess is a new wofti.

As much as these episodes are hard work i dont think they actually take that long to make, writing is probably the longest process. And since it was a parody episode it mightve been a quicker process to bring him back without a story arc or reveal, also there IS NO FUCKIN WAY MEGGY IS FORGIVING HIM. Like they'd need to do some serious story telling

The TV Screen part is rather unknown. We haven't actually seen how the SMG4 Crew went out of the TV in the Puzzlevision movie.. so it could be just a way of leaving Mr Puzzle's head.
I though mr puzzles would come back at the end the year and that the finale with him with him would be wotfi 2024

Nah, I kinda want him to stay a villain since it makes him more entertaining. I have an idea that Mr Puzzles will announce his decision to supposedly turn over a new leaf, even offering the crew gifts. Everyone genuinely thinks Mr Puzzles has redeemed himself, but Meggy isn't so quick to believe his words. So she assembles a team of Tari, SMG4, SMG3, Luigi, and Mario to try and expose him. The only problem? No one genuinely believes her even when she reminds them of what Mr Puzzles has done.

Meggy: Tari, you seriously can't be siding with Mr Puzzles! He might have been a lonely kid, but that doesn't excuse him torturing us for a month! Besides, villains don't have friends at all!

I have a feeling Mr Puzzles will use a different approach: In this case, targeting Peach.
Think about it, Peach probably knows how the crew left her to rot and Mr Puzzles would likely use that to convince her to kill the crew. That could clear up Peach's status
maybe the movie and original tv parodies were some sort of piolet thing and now we are getting into the real deal where we actually discover lore.
In "Mario Reacts To SMG4's Browser History" Theres a search saying "whats the big event that happens in june" in 5:27. Maybe its hinting something big is going to be happening in june and since Mr Puzzles returned i think its related to him.

I honestly think that Mr. Puzzles being like a pre-youtube arc smg3 is a cool idea.
I really miss the times when smg3 was a villain, so its nice to see them try a new minor antagonist like smg3.

I figure it meant to show him as no longer a villain, but more an side annoyances for the crew. It also interesting to think that he didn't put his own icon, he kept the smg4 icon.
I love that he said something about the meme games when those are definitely not coming back.
My theory is that tis is just the start of the arc since in the puzzlevision playlist on the smg4 only had puzzlevision shows meaning that Its gotta be perfect, western spaghetti and wotfi 2023 were just only teasers for what the next arc since the puzzlevision shows are actually the videos on the arc, and knowing that smg4 arcs last a long time, this means that its only the start of what we could know as the puzzlevision saga and wotfi 2024 possibly
Another thing is that mr puzzle's screen was fixed after smg4 and mario escaped

Mario found his TV head in the forest, and he was still alive, since there was no confirmation of his death in the PuzzleVision finale.
