    Pork fillet or pork tenderloin is the most tender cut of meat from the animal. They can become a little dry and really need a lot of sauce to compensate. This recipe with cream and mushroom sauce is very simple to make and goes perfectly with this cut of meat.

    Hey Joel, Nice Recipe! You know the meat market I use with the bargains , he had packages of boneless pork ribs, like 1.5 to 3.5 lb. Per package, and he trimmed them up nice because he had a lot of them, wanted them to look good, $2.69 per pound normal price, but now buy 1 package, and get 2 free, and then he put $1.00 per package off stickers to move them. I paid like $.80 per pound, bought 15 packages and used them in this recipe, that cut is pretty close to the tenderloin, I fed 4 households plus me, everyone loved it. Thanks again for sharing your recipes!

    Joel, just to show you what the wild hog problem looks like, when you get a chance go the search engine google and type in hogzilla, now the picture of the wild hogs you will see are very rare as they are abnormally huge hogs and you will think that they are video enhanced, but they are not. These hogs grow huge, and even an abnormally rare huge wild hog is appx. 2/3rds the size of the ones in the pictures, and are very rare in that size as i hunt them on occasion when i have time. They run in groups of an average of 10 to 12, and the females are normally 1/3 or so of the wild boar males. In 1 night they can destroy and eat appx. An acre of crops like corn, soybeans, cabbage, beans ,etc...and being hogs they actually root out the crops beneath the dirt, which means no chance of any crop possibly recovering that season. They have an incredible sense of smell, hear well, eyesight is poor, the upside, they are the most delicious,tastiest pork you will ever eat. They are dangerous to hunt, very aggresive, with razor sharp tusks

    Joel, across the pond here, the large pork producers have practically bred the flavor out of hogs, and we have a problem with wild hogs here tearing up crops etc...and also breeding with domesticated hogs on farms. Right now the price is appx.$ 5.00 lb.,for domestic bacon, but $15.00 lb for wild hog bacon, and it is delicious and you will never want domesticated pork again if you get to try this, and every cut of the wild hog is better than the domestic hogs. I am from rural kentucky and this is a big win - win for us hunters. Farmers will let you hunt their property for free, they do not even say they want the meat, but out of courtesy we give them some. They just want us to reduce, actually make extinct the wild hog population and they are so invasive right now, they can be hunted year round with no limit on the number of wild hogs taken, due to the severe damage they are doing to crops in the southern states of the u.s., and they breed like rabbits, they are far and away out of control.

    That was tragedy in th making. After 30 min in the oven you will have dry overcooked pork. Just insert a remote reading thermometer and cook until 140F max. Or use an instant reading thermometer and check periodically until reaching temp. A pork recipe that omits this “c’est un damage”! Of course, when you douse it with a tasty sauce, yes people will finish it and also like it. How much better to do it right.

    • @recipe30
      @recipe30  Před rokem +1

      That's why 20 minutes is usually perfect for medium well. Of course if you trust your pork and want it pink, then cook less.
