    Your advise is very helpful. I was torn between the propel and tcr for a long time. Thanks alot!

    I've got a Propel and its very fast on the flat and a little sniff around corners (though I am learning to handle it), I probably need a TCR someday for good climbing and winter training (until then I'll stick with my Specialized), good video and analysis

      Thanks mate. Yep budget is always a factor for sure. But sounds like you will LOVE the TCR.

    Which years do you have? The 2021 is supposed to be stiffer and more aero than the 2020 and the propel does not have a 2021 edition, so that probably makes the 2021 the best choice, right?

    • @SouthernHoax
      @SouthernHoax  Před 4 lety +2

      Sounds good to me. I will upgrade to the 2021 TCR for sure.

    Hello - I have a propel like yours, I am thinking of also getting a TCR and love the Dandenongs & Bright. Would you suggest rim is great or I should go with Disc ? My main aim is 7kg or less

    • @SouthernHoax
      @SouthernHoax  Před 4 lety +1

      If weight is your most important feature then rim brake is always lighter. But for Dandies and bright I would always want disc for the descending. And if it’s a bit wet or moist you won’t have to think about stopping.

    I don't want to upen the disussion about rim brakes vs. disc brakes. But I think the TRP rim brakes on the propel bite more powerful than the Shimano rim brakes on the TCR (at least on aluminium; don't know it on carbon).

      U.E. U.E. Fair point. I will talk about Rim brakes vs disc soon.

    TCR rim brake all day everyday for me.

    How about if you could only choose one for triathlons, primarily the 70.3 distance?

    • @SouthernHoax
      @SouthernHoax  Před 4 lety +1

      Alex Tang if you don’t have a Trinity then some of the answer would involve the terrain you train on but because the propel is more aero I would choose that. 👍🏼

    I'd beg to differ regarding picking the Propel for crits. I think the agility and responsiveness of the TCR is better for crits, the Propel feels more sluggish for acceleration although it does roll really well on flats.

    TCR Rim for climbing, Propel for flats, Allez Sprint for Crits!

    Does propel climb smooth? I get pause picking. I only have budget for one 😂 i do alot of climb. But then propel got my eyes. Im not into race just a weekend man to enjoy outside . Big input might help 😊
