    • @kimyona9746
      @kimyona9746 Před rokem +3

      @@AlonsoRules the runningback is very important nowadays. It's just not important to have as good ones as they were back then. Nowadays you can have a middling runningback dominate a defense that can't stuff a run. Consistently having average or better runningbacks is important. Just the good thing is is that average to good runningbacks are a dime a dozen in the draft and you don't need to trade hard for runningbacks anymore. They aren't meant to be the focus nowadays. They are meant to be a matchup fish often. QBS and wide receivers are still more important. But having an average to good runningback is basically essential to be able to beat teams that focus too much on corners.
      I.e. runningbacks are the ultimate matchup fish players

    Apparently, the next one on the list is going to be Russell Wilson (and a fourth round draft pick) to the Broncos for two first round picks, two seconds, a fifth, and three players. The Seahawks are getting far better play out of Wilson's former backup (Geno Smith) than Denver is getting out of Wilson, who's struggled badly since his arrival in Denver. Meantime, the Seahawks have turned their first three of the Denver draft picks into Charles Cross, Boye Mafe, Tyreke Smith and Dareke Young (trading the fifth round pick for the two later ones).
    Cross is being described by many analysts as the best rookie lineman of the draft, though there were a handful taken before him. Players Shelby Harris and Noah Fant have become solid contributors. Boye Mafe is showing a strong start. Tyreke Smith and Dareke Young have both had injuries, so they can't be evaluated effectively yet.
    The biggest reason this trade is so lopsided isn't even because of any of the players acquired in the trade. It's because the Seahawks had Geno Smith waiting in the wings already and knew what they had. They kept telling us during the off season that they wouldn't be trading up to get a quarterback that year because they were happy with who they had, and none of us believed them. They were right, though. So giving up Wilson did them no harm at all, but brought in four solid players already, with two high draft picks still to come (and two players whose healthy careers are still to come).
    Russell Wilson is almost certainly a Hall of Fame quarterback for what he's already done in his Seahawks career. But if he doesn't get back for Denver what he had in Seattle, this is going to be one of the most lopsided trades in history.

    The falcons trading favre looks really had in face value but when you look deeper into it favre wasn't liked by the coaches and he had off the field issues going on that led to him getting traded in 1991 it wasn't even a trade to talk about. But didn't age very well at all. Granted ATL ended up beating him in Green Bay in the postseason so I mean fuck it lol

      Yeah, like 12 years later with Mike Vick as their QB and Jerry Granville nowhere near that organization. It still didn’t matter, they still never won a SB, even with Vick.

      Favre was terrible....lucked out for his ONE SB win. Favre NFL leader in INTs thrown and 2nd in Fumbles and Fumbles lost. I'm sorry but I cant consider someone with 440+ turnovers a great player(336 INTs and 110 Fumbles lost out of 166).

      @@joshmoats7981 he is 100% overrated by fans but he was still very good. You don't win 3 MVPs in a row by accident. As time went on he threw more abd more ints and played sloppy past the 90s he's legendary also his 96 run was no fluke consider he made another super bowl the year after abd only lost because terrell davis was unstoppable

      @@scizorbullet8185 Those 3 MVP seasons and 1 with the Vikings are the only 4 seasons he did well. He single handedly lost them one of the SB's with his turnovers and lost the Vikings the NFC Championship game with a idiotic INT
      He has a SB win because of Desmond Howard and GBs amazing defense.
      And lets be honest he did well because Green Bay had some great receivers...same reason he did well in Minnesota.
