I’ve worked in nursing facilities for years here in the states. Even the costly ones aren’t worth staying in. I would never wanna end up in one of them here-def looking towards Mexico when I’m older and need longterm care!
Jerry, both of the videos with Kerry were very informative. Thank you.
You guys are awesome.
Thank you, Jerry and Lori ! So excited to see this video! ♥️
Our pleasure!
no surprise, the more expensive options....it is always the same, foreigners get in and raise the price, for everything....
Think about what you used to pay to go to the movie theater and get a bag of popcorn and compare today would you pay. Think about how much a gallon of gasoline was three years ago and compared to today. Think about how much your car cost three years ago and what it cost today, as small of an item as buying Coca-Cola in a convenience store how much was that Coca-Cola three years ago? Prices are going up not because foreigners move into an area and that sometimes happens for sure but they're going up also because it just cost more to make things deliver them and the businesses have more expense.
Is it a good place for a digital nomad to relocate?
I work from home providing tech support. I would need really fast internet.
I’d like to retain my US citizenship, but basically become a permanent expat resident there.
I’m not yet retirement age, so I don’t really need this lady’s assistance - but I do think she’s awesome.
I can hear you through the birds and the dogs. It is hard to understand your voices when there are other voices in the background, though.
Any thoughts how assisted living homes in Mexico (Chapala, Ajijic , Chipilo , San Miguel, San Miguel de Allende, Puerto Vallarta, Rosarito) compare to that of Thailand ( Chiang Mai care village, and the surrounding area , Baan Nor Lae).. in terms of price and type of care?
There's a good video on Martin Woodley "Why Families in Europe Are Sending Elderly Relatives To Care Homes in Thailand", but they don't talk too much about how it compares to others! I also recommend bbc4's recent radio segment "Sending Mum Abroad"
Ben thank you for your comment Lori and I appreciate that very much. There's a video
