That's not necessarily the right conclusion to have. As far as I know, Marianne was struggling with addiction and Mick really loved her, but her addiction was breaking their relationship. I might be wrong about it but I don't think Mick completely ruined her.

She broke up with him, and he moved on and got married. She broke up with him, but still loved him. She broke up with him and he moved on without even looking back. So that probably hurt too. Had she been involved with him, she probably could've had a better career.
She doesn’t blame anyone for her choices in her life and she refuses to see herself as a victim. Her last 3 albums are masterpieces, she took control and is a greater artist than anything Jagger has done on his own. Don’t underestimate her.
