    I much prefer smashing my knuckles against the ground, so I'm still using an Addis scrubbing brush. Once I no longer have any skin there, I'll definitely look at upgrading.

    Nice review mate. Great tyre brush

  • @sixtysecondsofstephens2386

    Good review specky. I think for me it's the softer bristles of the detail factory brush that allows you to hold product in it whilst scrubbing. I find the stiff brushes just release the product, the liquid isn't held in them. Your then scrubbing the tyre almost with a dry brush.

    • @SpeckyMcSporran
      @SpeckyMcSporran  Před rokem +2

      Great point, I was thinking that myself! It definitely seems the stiffer bristles have the least ability to generate foam.

    Thanks for your time & effort. My first tire brush is & currently is the Tuff Stuff brush. The only negative I found is when cleaning large/truck tires, a larger stiff brush makes the job easier. Detail factory brushes are top notched, but currently I am not in a market for a new tire brush.

  • @glosjdm

    I just tend to use the tuff shine brush most of the time, and vikan on my own tyre's as they're maintained with gt tyre syrum. Then if I need to shift silicone dressings on trade car's small drill brush on the extension bar but I use my impact driver instead of a drill as it rotates slower

    Seen a few reviews on this brush and they all come to a similar conclusion to you; a better brush. However, your comparisons made this a much more informative review. Thanks for that but I'd only upgrade my Tuff Shine if it broke.

    When I saw the lab coat come out I thought that Dr McSporran has some interesting news. You didn't dissapoint as usual, I'm currently using a vikan black brush and it's not as good as I first thought. As you've pointed out that all the same length bristles may not be that good and a mixture is. I'll seriously look at getting one if these if you say it's that good. Great work again 👏👏

    Fit like. I had a trip to Aberdeen this week so I am full oh the Doric but it will subside gradually. I agree with you on all of this. I have given up trying to remove all the brown gunk that comes out of the tyre as that is in part the UV inhibitors in our tyres that would overtime degrade the tyre if removed. I use M & K strip shampoo diluted !0 to 1 and in my opinion does the same job as my previous chemical of choice the Gyeon product. I give my tyre a clean but not as vigorously as I used to and then I always use GT Serum and have done religiously for the last 3 years. The Carscope brush is better than those foam tyre applicators to apply it. I had thought about trying the tyre ink but I have enough stock of others and am waiting for something new to the market that is a game changer before I change. I am sure a lot of us used a pot scrubber to start I certainly did but soon progressed to something that looked like it meant business. I look forward to your next installment.

    Good job there Specky! I switched from the In2Detailing tyre brush to the DF one after Forensic Jon reviewed it, it's like chalk and cheese isn't it! Unless some unbelievable brush turns up, I can't see me changing away from the DF brush. I too started with the pot brush 😂. I wonder if anyone has ever tried a loo brush instead of the EZ brush for arches 🤔. As always, all the best.

      Funny that. As I was cleaning the toilet today a light bulb went off in my head and I thought I am sure I could save my pennies & purchase a white one instead of the proprietary blue one that seems to be the weapon of choice currently by CZcamsrs. I have long handled Viacan brush currently that I think is great on plastic arches but doesn't seem to have the same purchase on the felt like my Jaguar has front and back.

    The new detail factory one does look best with its grippy handle, rubber edges and medium stiffness but as I already have Vikan for light cleaning and tough shine for deep cleaning don’t think I can justify another tyre brush 🤔

    I use the garage therapy decon shampoo as a tyre cleaner, the detail factory tyre brush is a reasonable price so I might buy it
