Hey Tom, thanks for the entertainment, we appreciate you! That common with the sunken eyes was probably effected by disease in it's prior years, or currently. It's unfortunately a issue with Koi as well. Damn fish herpes got 'em!

Finally got into some carp this week, landed 8 in a spot i got skunked in the week before. Water temp was up to 52 vs the 48 it was prior. 50+ seems to get them feeding where i was. Cooler temps coming unfortunately
Ha, finally somebody who gets that joke! Yeah, I'll probably hold off on carp fishing until I see 50 degrees, not very productive with water colder than that. Good luck!

I used to prebait but since I fish the same area ( my back yard ), I noticed it drew in the turtles. Started noticing I would just walk outside and the turtles would start surfacing waiting for the chum!
Well, at least it's just turtles and not alligators. 😁
Season beginning! Went out last Sunday after a warm week, but the water temp and a 30mph wind drove me away…. No action.
We've got fake spring happening here right now. Warm air temps, but water still very cold. Good luck out there.

Well it look like a good day to me Tom. Do you have any idea what the Fish & Game were monitoring the carp for? Also the fish with bad eyes maybe he got a BB gun for Christmas or swimming with scissors?? Really enjoy the video thanks.
They're conducting a study to decide if they should spend the money to eradicate the carp in that lake or not.
That is what worries me with carp studies, I think most of them is not for the betterment of the carp. When are people going to learn carp is a great game fish. @@OutsidewithTom
