It's so funny i see this today. Im going to tractor supply to buy sweet feed, whole corn, and bird seed today. Got a 5# sack of tigers in the mail yesterday. Now, i gotta start soaking, boiling, and freezing everything. Good luck on a productive season
Thanks Tony, good luck to you too.
And it really is frustrating that in Washington state we are only allowed to fish with 1 pole. We can buy a 2 pole permit but it's only for certain water ways. The amount of carp we have around here is astronomical.
I'm sure that can be frustrating, but be glad your state still has waterways worth protecting. The regs are more relaxed here because there are less people and the natural resources are already trashed from agriculture. Good luck out there!
Another adventure story, always enjoy them. I can really relate to spending hours on that bank, and not always pulling fish, or even having one come unbuttoned right at the net. It still is an adventure no matter what. Nice!! Glad you got that first carp in for 2024!!! Thanks Tom, for the show.
Thanks again James!
Great job on the video tom !
Glad to see you got the carp skunk off ! Also appreciate the way you always set an example on leaveing our fishing spots better than we find them.
Thanks Tom!
Thanks Tom for picking up others trash - I do the same where I fish. About to start my spring Carp fishing in MD this weekend - weathers finally gonna warm up some.
Sounds good, good luck!
Never a dull moment carp fishing. It's always amazes me the trash people leave behind, like you I always pick up around my fishing area. A real enjoyable video and good to see you back on the yellow fish. Thanks
Well said, thanks David.
Oh heck yea! I've bagged 9 so far this spring in eastern Washington state! But only 1 per trip. Strange how it's just been 1 and done like that?
Great video,. Looks like a great time. Hope your surviving the storms that have moved across Iowa. Stay safe!
Fortunately for me they didn't hit where I live, thanks for asking. Glad you enjoyed the video.
Nice video Tom, love watching
Thanks 👍
Great editing, one of your better videos. I am fishing central Iowa and look forward to seeing how our seasons go. I am going 100% spodding large particle and boilie mix with large hardened boilie hookbaits in the big reservoirs near me. Good luck maybe we will see one another out there one day.
Thanks, Scott.
Wow Amazing Common Carp 2024 🐟🎣 Channel catfish And Carp Nice Catch Tom.😀
Caught an 8.4 common this week in NC with your 99% rig with Tiger nuts on the hair. Caught a 20+ a couple weeks ago. Thanks for your vids 👍
Nice!!
The Grass Carp bit is on in SW Washington. I got a 14lb 9oz and a 14lb 4oz first time out. Boiled corn or Tiger nuts, both work.
👍
My local big carp pond is always trashed! Line, lures, kayak paddles, life jackets, even a nice Shimano rod and reel!
Dang!
Good to see you back on the banks👍 Unfortunately - for me - I've been sidelined by an emergency appendectomy😖 That means my carp adventures are limited to watching your channel and other YT carp fishing sites.
Look forward to your next post👍
- Joe
Sorry to hear that Joe, get well soon!
Thanks for the well wishes Tom. I’m hoping to get back on the banks as soon as the pain lessens enough. Surgeon says I can’t lift anything heavy for a while - considering my lack of success so far in 2024, that might not be a problem🤔😖🤣
Keep the great videos coming my friend👍
Joe
Glad to see you’re back at it Tom!! Congrats on breaking the carp ice for 2024!!!
Side note, not sure if it’s something on my end or YoyTube, but I’m unable to see or read the other comments to this video….
Thanks Art! Not sure why you can't see the comments, looks fine on my end.
May you catch some whoppers. I grabbed some nice commons last week in Northern VA, a 23lber and a handful of 15+lbs during some recent flooding. PS- them f'ing ticks man
Right on , good luck out there!
I'm waiting for the spawn which I think is happening about now up here. I bought some of your gear recently. I was curious if you made your rig holders from exercise mats? I usually use white foam packing material that comes with Christmas gifts and electronics packaging. I liked yours though. My favorite part of all your videos is that you have minimalistic gear and you've fine-tuned your fishing to have exactly what you need and no more.
Yep, you nailed it, those rig keepers are made from floor mats. Funny you mention minimalist carp fishing, as I'm editing a video right now about that very subject. Thanks Tracy.
@@OutsidewithTom :) I've noticed that we think alike. We re-use and adapt where we can AND we enjoy inventing a bit. ;) You have simplification down better than I but I'm always working on it. I appreciate that you pick up litter where ever you go. I always take extra bags with me when I bank or rowboat fish. I even have a toy rake that I use to pull line out of the water or trees. I have a lot of respect for fishermen who leave the waterways even better than they found them. (and a lot of anger to those who trash it.) Anyway, peace out. I'm still laughing that you ate a boilie. My boilies are too fishy to try. LOL
