On Lloyd Austin, I am a Marine Vet and if i did not notify my chain i would be AWOL and they would swiftly give punishment. They would take my rank and pay for months. We had to report to Cherry Point, NC the day of Katrina Landfall, no buses was running, most of us only had bus tickets that was already pay for. I remember calling to let them know Greyhound said “no buses are running in the south as all buses are in use transporting people from Louisiana to Atlanta and other states. They told me on the phone “You better be on the next thing smoking an report in”. EVERYONE was late, almost 2 battalions of marines arriving 2 days late. And even then we came on a day that no buses or taxis ran from the front gate to Camp Geiger. That’s a 25 mile distance from the front of the base to where we needed to report in. We caught rides with Sgts that was off duty and just walking in a gas station. Nothing was running because most of transportation was closed because of the Hurricane.
Austin has to go. Because if it was a subordinate or someone in uniform we could not mess up on our post. Let us be on night watch and someone walked in the door and we didn’t challenge them or log it. EVERYONE got punished not just the person. The platoon leaders and the specific person got the most. So the leader got punished also. Biden this falls on you.

Gosh it feels so good to have someone like President Biden at the top, making decisions about foreign affairs, right now. The strikes needed to happen. And our president has earned my devoted trust. I have ZERO doubt he will lead the best people to make the best decisions available in the situation. God bless our brave men and women in uniform 🇺🇸

O'Brien lets them stream garbage whilst slowly fading them out to complete silence and introducing the next caller to restore some intelligent debate

A major general is not addressed as major, he or she is addressed as general.
It's a very common error. Every general knows to ignore it, and they are probably are even trained to ignore it by the 4-stars who previously suffered through it as 2-star Major General and 3-star Lieutenant General themselves. He only got it wrong once, then addressed him as Major General, then the other guy addressed him as General.
I didn't hear you complain about that, when the rank of General actually refers specifically to a 4-star, though it is fine to address (but not introduce) any level of general as General.
I've heard Lieutenant Generals called Lieutenants, and not one of those 3-stars flinched at all. Usually someone clues in the interviewer via earpiece, which is exactly what happened this time with the Major General, I'm sure.
A Lieutenant Colonel is more likely to flinch or take offense than a Lieutenant General is, at being mistakenly addressed as Lieutenant.
No harm, no foul. Civilians are pretty much expected to be confused about specific military ranks. Many don't know an Army Captain from a Navy Captain, and assume they're equivalent, or think the Navy Captain is necessarily in command of a ship.
I think this is why he hasn't shown up in a debate....bc what he says makes no sense...I don't think he knows how to debate. He's so use to speaking to a room full of haters.when it comes to one on one debates... it'll be nothing but lies.
