We decided to go with the Kohler Cachet Nightlight Quiet-Close (slow close) toilet seat and we love it. If you need to replace a broken toilet seat, loose toilet seat, or just want an upgrade, it's a nice choice. It's really great if you have kids or a spouse you don't want to wake up in the middle of the night.
CORRECTION: The documentation says the batteries will last 6 Months on High and 12 Months on Low. I accidentally reversed these in the video.

I think you may have the wrong data for how long the batteries will last. You have 12 months on high and 6 months on low. Obviously it should last longer on low. The installation PDF from the Amazon site says 4 months on high and 6 months on low. I love your videos!

Thank You for the clear explanation on how to replace the lid for the 'throne' - LOL! Thank you also for NOT editing out the battery taking a 'dive into the pool' - it reminded me to be careful. Funny how pools of water are suddenly magnates for anything that falls. I feel like I have a whole new toilet after replacing the seat. Take Care!

I’ve had mine a year . 5 months on high . Just changed the batteries once again. And installed lithium batteries to see how far they will go on the bright setting . Also don’t hit the button to turn on until 9 pm . It will stay on I believe 8 hrs . I’m going to turn mine on tonight at 10pm to get 8 hrs . I have a son with autism . This little light helps him in the middle of the night. And also dad 😅

Quiet mode toilet seat adjustment
I'm trying to install my new toilet seat. It is a round front bowl seat.
I did not receive instructions with this toilet seat I am trying to install it and I'm going to show you a picture of what it looks like
Bought this and only gripe is not as bright as I thought it would be … but decent toilet seat overall
Have you had any issue with the seat shifting (moving to one side) from normal use? I have a Kohler that the seat moves because the bolts/nuts don't hold the seat tight to the bowl, don't want to overtighten them, they are nylon bolts and nuts. It appears that they have upgraded to metal bolts for this seat.
No, it's still pretty tight.

@Top Homeowner Do you know what kind of finishing coat I can put on my toilet seat/underneath it? It holds every stain and grosses me out. It's a cheap toilet seat my apt complex gives us. When I clean it, it doesn't have that smooth wipe texture at all. Please help and Thank you.
Clean with soft scrub formula that has bleach in it. The paste dries white so disguises stains. I preclean with a Clorox wipe, let dry, then smear on a little soft scrub and wipe off with paper towels. I only do this on the seat underside. My toilet seat is wood covered in thin layer of white.
Not sure which version this is but the latest version K75758-0 the light stays on for 10 hours from when you turn it on. Do you have to reset this every day (ie. push the button) or will the light cycle on and off at the same time every day after it has been turned on?
It will come on the same time every day . If you hit the button at 8pm ? It will stay on for the 10 hrs ? I thought it was 8 . Could be wrong.

Im having a problem with my boys slamming the lid shut and the internal mec. shooting back inside the housing. Is there anyway I can stop the slow close mec. so this does not happen? Ive had the seat for two months now and have taken it off 5 time because of this issue.
They still sell kids that aren't soft close. I'd get one of those. We have a nightlight in the bathroom that only comes on in the dark when there is movement. It works well for us

What if the old screw is Rusted no good?
I'm not sure what you mean exactly, generally though anything rusted is bad.
The new seat always comes with the new hardware thats supposed to be used for that seat.
When you (an adult) sit on the toilet, with the lid down, does it cave in a bit or does it stay rigid?
Yes, it does cave in a little.

This might sound like the dumbest thing ever, but my hinges are flipped up and can't lay flat for me to screw in? I can't put them flat or I will break something?
You might need to push them down flat at first in order to tighten them down to the toilet
Terrible product shifts around
The lights stay on for 7 hours and they go off for 17 hours; the cycle repeats every day.
My lid won’t stay up when I pee. Not fun.
