Just because he spoke well after the fight and admitted he lost doesn't take away from the fact that Okolie is a world champion and yet still even under sugar hill will clinch after literally every trade. Mcdonell did his best to ref it without Dq'ing him despite the fact he should have done.

He was always an awkward fighter. Never the prettiest to watch but if you have power and are knocking people out in the amateurs, you get on the radars of a lot of promoters. And then they baby their careers and so on...

This is what I thought of when I heard the commentary say something about the referee will take points off but not disqualify.
Akinwande was way better. The only fight I remember him really holding was against Lewis.

Just another one of Eddie Hearns fighters getting found out once a real fighter comes alone, this is what happens when you hand pick and buy world title's Hearn
He was gracious in his loss and I respect him for that. I think he could beat him in a rematch if he is more careful losing points. He needs to find a balance between too much aggression and too little. I find okolie a bit boring to watch but his game plan needs sharpening for the rematch.
He has the power to beat him. Just needs some conditioning to be able to stand up by himself after 4 rounds
Okolie is a cheat who should have got disqualified. The referee was very patient with him.
Sums up the current state of boxing and the lack of male competitiveness it’s a good day for boxing to be rid of another market stall but we have to push it back to proper standards

Sadly, there is a rematch clause.
I mean his defeat speech had more grace, dignity and skill than his fight. I do appreciate a fair loser, because that is not easy after you´ve given it your best. And if you noticed, he got booed at the beginning of the speach and applaudet at the end. And going back a fight, that must of been a new feeling for Okolie.
But talking about the fight, this was the first time I would have prefered curling, cricket or golf over boxing.

Could not figure out if it was a boxing match or wrestling match how that guy ever won a championship I will never know and because of all the holding I don't know how good the other guy is but these was only 1 knockdown the other 2 were pushes
The judge who scored it 112-112 should be arrested. These are people who don't care about boxing. Maybe Okolie will learn some lesson from this fight.

Benjamin Rodriguez is one of the three judges, he must explain why he put down 112-112 on the card, despite 3 KO and two points of penalty. This is the real shame of the Boxe and something must be done for its credibility. Judges as Rodriguez deserve to be kicked out.
