Dee. If people experienced something bad and they try to warn you about it and it doesn't happen to you, just be thankful. Because these things have happened. People are not liars. They just want you to be vigilant. It's disrespectful to call people liars when they are genuinely care about your safety.

You should visit Orlando as well. Lot more attractions. Miami is also expensive. Jamaica is just 2 hours away.

Dee it’s not a lie…. They are not lairs . People just love the beach during the summer so nothing will stop them from going to swim. Trust me, like early in the morning I would see several sharks 🦈 going round and around until they go further from where you can see them. They are not lieing

I live in Florida over 25 years! Please listen and stay safe. Florida beaches are full of Sharks. I only go to the beaches in Jamaica
Walking on the beach is for tourist and locals, if you see one beach you seen them all, walking around looking for a thumbnail of random people enjoying themselves and putting them on CZcams without their knowledge

Dee, if there is a Whole Foods nearby where you are staying, check them out for dinner. It's a supermarket, but they also have a dinner/salad bar, and they sell the kind of food you like eating.
Dee, no one would tell you about sharks if there weren't any on these waters. No reason to lie, there are sharks in that water there so if you choose to swim, do so with caution. Better still, just Google sharks in miami beaches. You'll find your answer. Have fun in miami.
Dee Florida is #1 for shark bites in America. Actually the world in 2023. It's no joke. There are lots of different types of sharks some are ok with humans some are not. The time of day and weather plays alot. Stay safe!
About Miami Beach, bathe only where there are lifeguards or people. Lifeguards look out for sharks and people in distress because they are there to watch out. And yes, there are sharks to look for. Be careful.

Dee, Nobody is lying. sometimes sharks are around , sometimes there is cross current.If you dont know how to handle currents, stay away .Those people you are seeing in the water are many times visitors like yourself and sometimes they get hurt or die.

I was in Miami last November n booked a tour with bayride ferry. I was privileged to see some of the homes of the rich n famous along the waterways. I did not swim at any beach however I totally enjoyed the tour on the water

Not every tall building is a hotel. Most are condos for rental or ownership living. Lived there for 47 years.

Hi Dee it's not a lie .stay in the shallow area and watch your surroundings. I'm from st Vincent but a been living in USA over 30 years. A have seen on the news where numerous people get attack by sharks in Florida. So don't let your guard down.

A Miamian: Please note: The sea belongs to the sharks. There is a beach in Surfside just suitable for children, as welll as visitors from out of town, and there are lifeguards just nearby, One can see the yachts coming from the bay, going into the Atlantic Ocean. People picnic along the cemented protected side the water, and now that it is Summer, many children will be at the beach. Have no fear , just be wise !! Have a good time, Dee!!❤

Dee I live in the United States I'm a Jamaican the beaches in Florida can be very very dangerous at times there are a lot of sharks specially in the Gulf of Mexico so you'll have to be careful and alert 🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲

@DeeMwango You should try Hollywood Beach. It is about 25 minutes from where you are, going towards Palm Beach. If you go in the afternoon, by early evening you could be lucky that day to have a free reggae concert with dancing in the Bandstand.

One thing I have noticed is no one is swimming out. They are practically hugging the beach, which we don't do in the Caribbean. Maybe they have been warned not to go further out.
