Made a sequel to THE ROTTEN HORROR (Egghead Slow Walk Invader) created by Saneroot back in 2013 for absolutely no reason whatsoever. It's a very basic "mini boss" to test new players (and ultimately lose) but it just seemed to scare most of em. I left in a few oopsies I made as they fit the video pretty well.

@@DeathByCactus What a *_wonderful_* solution Mr. 200 IQ, it would definitely work because as far as evading invasions goes, there are no other options like suiciding or even worse, hiding and making you waste your time like a fool. I'm sure they would be completely forced to fight without any means to avoid the situation, then you could finally accomplish what you desire, kill and point down on them to feed your ego.

The "help me" is super spooky. Hes calling out to the people to kill him because he doesnt wanna murder
What would have made it even better would be if he dropped a "Thank you" carving at very low health.
Or that his just asking for a vermifuge and if he was given one he'd say thank you then leave.
Or luring in victims.
I like the idea of the sorcerer just being a dude with a gun trying to defend himself from you

By all the disconnecting hosts, you'd think this is DS3.
They're from Ds3 lol.
From my experience there are way more disconnecting hosts in DS1 than 3
You only get frequent disconnects in DS3 if you invade low level. I get almost no disconnects in DS3 anymore (80+8, 90 +10, and meta), it's all hosts that know how to abuse every advantage to run and hide for 30 minutes, resummon, and throw on WoB.
DS1 and DSR get the most disconnects currently.

The last fight felt pretty cinematic, especially with the music, a casul facing their fears and becoming.... Above average.
Combining the cool cheat engine miniboss with Resident Evil is such a great idea. Great work on the editing as well. The cinematic shots turned out perfect.

This should be a scary story legend in dark souls or something that when the Eggman invades you, you should offer some vermifuge and show him a gesture of respect like a bow, a proper bow or prostration so that he would go back to his world and not bother you again. Haha!

That last person has my respect too for mixing up the combat and not going for full cheese or disconnect. Like they actually went in for attacks, backed off with magic or to heal, did backstabs, varied their sword and shield game all while balancing the encroching poison damage. Good show indeed

@I C Met someone the other day who mained DarkBead, almost got me because I never seen it untill then, but after that it was piss easy to dodge...
It was also a 2 on 1 fight because I was playing with my friend- but he attacked first! If any invader bows before combat the fight will always then be 1 on 1, first the phantom than the host, but if you join and just started casting shitty FUCKING heretic spells your ass is grass

This is honestly one of the best Dark Souls 1 invasion videos I've seen in a long time, I especially loved the use of the Tyrant A theme at 3:33 and the Final Nemesis Theme at the last invasion. How I wish I had the remaster and the ability to battle the dreadful Rotten Horror. Also way to ramp up the suspense at 5:30 with that door scene, feels just like Resident Evil.

I used to do this very often with the Xanthous Crown instead of the egg head and at Lv20 so I could use the Dragonslayer Greatbow. Yes, you can get 1 attunement slot, 20 str and 20 dex and still be Lv20 letting you invade down to lv18 and coop down to lv8. Did some gravelording too as I was on Ng+ so the bosses were all alive in the early areas too - was a lot of fun.
For anyone that wants to try this:
For setting up, raw+0 weapons, +5 basic weapons and fire+0 weapons are the highest you can go. Don't upgrade any twinkling titanite weapons either. Also, do not kill the mimic in Sen's Fortress, the mimic between the Duke's Archives and Anor Londo, or the mimics in the Duke's Archives proper, as they drop weapons that are infused twice, so they count as +10 weapons. If you really want something strong to use in PvE, your best bets are probably the Black Knight Sword and the Gravelord Sword, though the Obsidian Greatsword outclasses them both if you can get it.
You can upgrade your armor all the way without having to worry, and if your armor of choice is upgradeable, you should because otherwise you'll be toast against multiple players. Prioritize magic and lightning defense when looking at armor and shields as Soul Arrow rapid fire and Lightning Spears are your biggest worries as a slow walking invader - the Eagle Shield from Blighttown is good for this, though remember that you'll need something else to parry with if you want to do both!
Don't use Iron Flesh in 1v1s unless the opponent is using a big weapon like a Zweihander or a Black Knight weapon - it's not fair or fun to face someone who can't attack you, and activating Iron Flesh against a guy with a longsword does exactly that. In 2v1s or even 4v1s you need all the help you can get due to backstabs being a thing, so feel free there. Similarly don't estus in 1v1s either. Preferably don't estus at all to be honest - it takes a lot of the energy out of the psuedo boss fight when they see you can and will heal. If they run away really far out of sight healing is probably fine as it's not done in view of them.
Make sure to pick up a lot of charcoal pine resin from the Undead Merchant in the Lower Burg as it looks cool as hell on a black phantom and adds 50 AR that will get around any shield they could have at that point (unless they got very lucky with a Black Knight drop) making them unable to turtle up. If you're using any weapons that hit kinda fast, make them Raw or regular+5 so you can use this and get that damage boost. My favourites that still stay in theme for a tank boss are the Ricard's Rapier and Painting Guardian Sword for their flashy and rapid hitting but slow starting and telegraphed R2 attacks, though I have a personal love for running 2 Claw or 2 Katanas- a lefthand Fire one and a right-hand Raw one buffed with Charcoal.
Always keep 1 weapon handy that has an R2 attack that lunges you forwards. These are great ways to make players who aren't being cautious get hit and panic a bit. The Large Club in video is a great example, though others include the Butcher's Knife and the Demon's Spear. The Pike has a good attack for this on its running attack but we can't run or backstep so it's unusable which is sad...
Above all, know when to fold 'em. If you're looking to win every time, this isn't for you. Hell, there will be plenty of times where you could easily win but you'll recognise that doing so would ruin the aesthetic of what you're doing. If the opponent is good and keeps a level head on their shoulders and doesn't blindly try to trade blows with you, instead using tactics and going for attacks when they're safe, they should be able to win without resorting to just backstab fishing or ganking you - if you just blatantly overpower them or oneshot them then something is wrong. Remember, you're here to give everyone a scare and a moment to remember but you don't always have to get a kill to do that.
Watching this made me remember how fun that stuff was and I might go back to doing that :) we'll see!

What soul level should br the target to do this type of stuff, I dont plan on winning every time.

I LOVE being invaded by players with a Theme :D I will always stick around and try to survive. You can some times tell when some one is running with a "Theme" with their build/character. Bonus points for including Clock Tower music by the way :D

God I just love how much you act like an NPC, the slow walking and consistent presence, like the moment at 2:42 really made me feel that, like I WAS Spider-man.
This would have been a great PVE invader, a huge infinite poise slow walking tank with powerful weapons. Although that's pretty much what those OP mushrooms are, minus the weapons lol

I loved this build back in the day. So much so that I used it myself against invaders, without the head, but with the Dragon Bone Fist. Loved it.

Oh, hell yes! It's great that people still remember this build! I loved the original video and had to make a build like this myself. So I recreated the build and I did it at a perfect time too, when PewDiePie was doing his own let's play of the game. More new players were checking out the game and I got constant invasions back then on my ps3. Ahhh good times. I spent over 100 hours on that character.
A little fun fact! The Egghead maggot kick does 100 poise damage!
Using that lunging attack to dodge the magic pew pews was some top tier play.

For, uh, research purposes
Guardian set, final phase egghead. Large Club (can be buffed with rotten pine which stacks with innate). Butcher knife/pyro glove/guardian tail offhand. Stats are basically just 26 strength for large club and whatever else you need to meet the weapons requirements.

It has been 9 years since I felt this level of confusion and wonder in a Dark Souls game.
The players were as much a part of the world building as the world itself was.
And invasions like this were the highlight of my childhood all those years ago.

Ngl having an enemy like this for a temporary area gimmick would be kinda cool. A slow yet difficult to shake off stalker chasing you thru the area. It would be a waste of time and resources to fight it at this point as it is invincible but can be stunned for a long duration if enough damage is dealt, ultimately fighting it as the area boss with some things changed of course.

you really should add lore to this guy about how he became the way he is and why he hunts and kills people, and prob how how his armor became corroded and who made him the way he is.
