Welcome to my channel Modern Off Grid DIY in today's video I want to share my experience with signature solar and code 61 on 12k Growatt Off Grid Inverter, 6k Growatt Off Grid Inverter, EG4 Inverter, and lifepower4 batteries, home battery.
This might help fix code 61 on your Inverters. Living off the grid has its advantages and disadvantages but when you have no power it can be very hard. I hope this video will help others fix or help you with code 61.

Congratulations on your ingenuity. However, I would contact signature solar for some type of explanation of why this worked. This is a critical system and must be addressed.
I guess I'll have to start a you tube channel to get signature solar to answer their emails.

I have the 8K LF Growatt like these. I haven't had any errors, but it's just powering our electric dryer and washer at the moment. I hope we have a working version of the firmware in case we get the code, shipping that back wouldn't be any fun. Thanks for the walkthrough on error 61, hope I don't need it!

what brand/model solar panels do you use on your 12k system for the 2- 3500 watt strings? i plan on mounting atop of a 40 foot shipping container
I have a video showing the install of 550w bifacial solar panels on my off grid home.
i was having this problem . Could not figure out how to fix it . then one day a year later the mppt controller just wasn't allowing the panels to make power for some reason it would cap at 600 to 640 watts out of 3200 . went to a reongy solar controller and wow what a difference but the error has never come back once i stopped using the onboard controller thank you for this much needed video .Oh and mine would only error 61 in the early morning sun and the setting sun .
Next time take a voltmeter measurement of the battery and put that in the calibration tool instead of the preset
Mine has code 61 also 12K inverter I just turned off the alarm signal I would like to get it fixed eventually I am not so computer savvy though
Measure the volts at battery terminal and compare to battery voltage on display.if there is a difference of .5 volts between the two then you going to get that code. Growatt sent me a calibration tool to bring both of them inline with each other and after running the software I got rid of code 61.
Can anyone hep me I have a growatt spf6000t dvm-mpt I recently got the 30k eg4 and I can’t connect bms. I change setting 5 to Li and tried 01-05. I am using a cat 7 shielded and twisted 20 ft. The eg4 master is set to all down and every battery is set different.

Aloha your growatt comes witha manual to walk thu each program some will apply some will not because the LI is active. Your number 5 setting Li must be set to L01

just an FYI = I have had an ERROR CODE "61" flashing on my GROWATT SPF 6000T DVM-MPV for about 6 Months !!! ...
= all I did was DISABLE the annoying beep - Beep - BEEPING & it is keeping my SIX (6) EG4-LL batteries fully charged up ...
... my manual indicates that ERROR-61 was due to approximately 1/2 volt difference between the MPPT & BMS expectations ...
Signature Solar offered to issue me a RETURN-Order form = but = then I would have had no SOLAR ELECTRICITY ...
while my INVERTER shipped to TEXAS & got analyzed & either REPAIRED or REPLACED & shipped back to me 😞 ...
Signature-Solar indicated that MY particular error was due to a FAULTY "PCB" Communications Board ...
( but refused to SEND or even SELL me the Faulty Board so that I could repair / Replace it ) ...

I recently purchased a RE-MANUFACTURED SPF 6000T DVM-MPV so that I would have a back-up INVERTER ...
but have not needed it yet ...
if / when I swap inverters (toward the END / Expiration of my WARRANTY = I may request another RETURN-MERCHANDISE Request ...

Lololol you know it's crap when you have to replace the unit before 20 years has passed. So just buy 2 of them so you always have a working unit. 1 could be online making power the other can be shipped to get fixed. Still cheaper than buy a expensive unit which also is prone to not last 20 years. Still have aa trace 2012 inverter that works its 40 years old so don't say longevity can't be done.
They had to send me a special version for windows 10. I had the same issue it would not open a com it was just a blank box.

My 12k Growatt off grid inverter has been around a year, my 6k Growatt Off Grid Inverter is 6 months and my Growatt 6k grid-tie inverter has been 6 months

Thanks for sharing the link, unfortunately i think my growatt its one of those that dont recognize the cable, because i connected the cable, the computer recognized it but when i opened the com the green bar kind of got stuck in the the middle and i simply couldn't click on the voltage checkbox to type the new voltage, but i really appreciate your video and your effort thanks for everything
Sorry to hear about that. That was a very frustrating time for me when that happened I'm sure your in the same spot.
